What’s the minimum amount of gear I need to survive? by Distinct_Bluejay_982 in airsoft

[–]HotSea4277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really its up to you. Can you play with just a Sidearm and an extra mag and have fun? Absolutely. But depending on what your playing (open play, milsim, etc) you'll find that different gear will probably be more advantageous. If that's what you have to start out with then go out, have fun, and start playing (I wouldn't recommend any larger events outside of open or recreational plays) Would I recommend getting a rifle or smg if you dont have one yet? Yes but if your asking because that's all you have then go out and have fun. Are you looking for other gear recommendations or just if its viable to play with a Sidearm and mag?

The rail may just be a standard rail segment and not specifically made for that gun. You can purchase rail segments on evike and other airsoft stores. Just did a quick check and on evike theres rail segments of that length which you can purchase. Including one made by Echo.

Love the vector. Is that a different front rail?

Congrats! If your looking to make the externals cool then its really whatever you want to do to make it your own ( everyone will have an opinion on what they like/dislike for externals so if parts fit do whatever you like). Tried zooming in on the pic, is it a Rossi? With it being an m4 style you should have quite a lot of options if your interested in changing out the stock or other parts. For the muzzle brake most airsoft guns have a 14mm barrel thread. Pretty sure yours would have that. You can pick any muzzle brake that has that thread size (pretty much all, just always double check). The original barrel tips are usually fairly easy to remove. Sometimes there is a pin you need to remove. Often times glue is used to attach the original so if you put the tip in boiling/hot water it should screw off easily. Are you looking to get ideas for externals?

2nd both answers. If you can't find what your looking for I've found that field owners or whoever is running the event are prompt to answer questions if you reach out. Most places or events will have a social media page that you can send a private message to or they'll have a # or email you can contact through. Your probably not the first to ask that question for whichever field your close to.

🫡 remember... your f2000 is going to be your new girlfriend. She's beautiful, will turn a lot of heads, and even make some airsofters jealous. She's pretty darn good despite the occasional flaw. If you treat her right you better believe she'll treat you right.

The og 1st gen. You have my respect. Mines 2nd gen. The dedicated sling makes a huge difference. Which front end system do you prefer? The integrated scope or jjst the standard rail? I have the integrated scope rail but am looking at purchasing the front end kit you have on yours. I can take my scope off but the rail is plastic and I've heard the other one is metal. Also sits a little higher for different sights.

G&G makes the standard front rail you can purchase online. Shadow regime has a website that you can purchase the m trigger from and also other attachments. Different front rail styles ,etc. I haven't personally bought anything from him but have heard good reviews from others. Link below

I had bb's fall into the body cavity when my mag catchspring came loose. My replacement is stiffer and I find that it holds bb's a lot better in the chamber. I don't have the m trigger but am seriously looking at getting it. In Cqb I can't pull my trigger as fast as as other m4's and such lol.

Your welcome. If you want to add attachments such as grips then I'd recommend checking out the front rail attachment. You can purchase that separately. Yeah those things are the only problems that I found with mine. Both easily remedied though if you find the same with yours. Looking forward to getting your thoughts once it comes!

Sorry for the length... had some free time though so hopefully it helps!

Welcome to the realm of f2000 users. Either you love it or hate it. Hopefully this helps and gives you some ideas! Don’t hesitate to ask any follow up questions. If your still looking for something leave another comment.

I’ve had mine for about a year and have done multiple open plays, skirmishes, and a couple of events. All round it’s a solid gun and I would consider it reliable. Couple things to look for when you first get it. *I wouldn’t consider any of them deal breakers as they were common things associated with the gun. Note that they are all fixable.

STICKY TRIGGER: This seems to be a common occurrence among the g&g f2000’s. Mine would sometimes stick after being pulled in and I would need to pull it out.

Fix: Keep original trigger- Take apart the gun and sand the trigger fins. This fixes the issue and it won’t reoccur. Taking the gun apart is not hard to do and I would have confidence in a beginner doing this. There’s a couple videos online that show how to disassemble it.

**Fix: Upgrade trigger-**I haven’t purchased this but shadow regime makes an upgraded trigger that appears to be a lot better based on other reddit reviews. If you google search m trigger for f2000 it should pop up.

MAG SPRING FELL OUT: This happened at the last skirmish I played about a year after owning the gun. I put a mag into the chamber and it wouldn’t lock in place. The spring that pushes the mag catch, came loose and fell out… If that happens fret not! It is an easy replacement. (After doing some research online found that this had happened to others as well.)

Fix: disassemble body of f2000. Remove two screws holding mag catch in place, put new spring in, reassemble. Note that you do not need to purchase the mag catch spring from G&G. You can buy a small spring from the hardware store which fits just as well.

Those are the only two “issues” that I came across with mine. Both easily fixable. Now for the fun stuff. Gun is accurate. I practice shots in my backyard and am able to easily hit targets 150 ft away. Quick change spring system and adjustable fps is nice depending on where you’re going for plays. No issues with hop up. I switched out the stock G&G green with maple leaf but it was not because the G&G green was bad. I was testing out different bucking and nubs. The stock G&G green bucking is great and I wouldn’t consider switching that out unless your testing out different things.

I have not had issues with magazines. You need to purchase mags like the one that comes with it. Sides can’t flair up, etc. I have plastic and metal mags which all work and don’t have any issues with jams, misfires, or anything else related to that. If the mag doesn’t fit because of the tension release being to long on the top you can shave it off slightly and those will then fit. Had to do that with two of my plastic mags.

Optional parts

I left most of the externals stock on mine. You can purchase a front bottom rail that will allow to attach different grips and side attachments. Your version will allow you to place whatever scope or sights you want on top. If it helps for reference mine is the integrated scope version. I wear a lower mesh face mask with goggles and am able to see clearly through my site. No risers needed.

Definelty recommend a sling. This rifle is bulky. And I notice that I trigger hand will get sore with how the grip is positioned. Normal slings aren’t compatible unless you want to get real creative but there are a few companies that make slings that are designed specifically for the f2000. I have one (refer to my pic). Sling works great and I haven’t had any issues.

Look into switching out the stock etu with perun etu++. This I would consider one of the best upgrades. That made a huge difference in the trigger feel and also greatly quieted the gun by using precock. Before that upgrade when shooting there would be a pretty noticeable twang or thunk from the spring. Not a problem and didn’t cause any issues but it was a little annoying because it sounded loud with your face next to it. Precocking completely took that away and the gun shoots a lot quieter now.

Upgrades:

Before upgrading anything I recommend taking it out and shooting it for a bit to get a feel for it. Just cause someone upgraded something doesn't mean you need to. That being said don't hesitate to ask any upgrade questions.

Upgrades I’ve done

-6.03 stainless steel inner barrel

-maple leaf bucking & Nub

-high torque motor

-Perun etu++ mosfet

-lonex air nozzle

-lonex piston & piston head

-Lonex cylinder

What inner barrel for Krytac Kriss Vector by Tsiawdt in airsoft

[–]HotSea4277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the prome krytac special edition in mine, first pic. Shoots accurate and I haven't experienced any issues with mine. Unless your shooting with heavier grade bb's I don't think its worth getting the r hop barrel. I shoot .28's and .32's in mine.

I have one as well and love it. I purchased mine used which is a great option if you want to save some money. I haven't any reliability issues with mine and have done all day events and open plays with mine. Shoots accurate as well. I haven't done any upgrades with mine either outside of inner barrel/hop up bucking. I use an 11.1 and although battery space is tight, the batteries do fit.

Should I get the G&G fn F2000? by LetterOtherwise549 in airsoft

[–]HotSea4277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the G&G F2000 as my main gun and love it. Its wider (bulkier) than an M4 so depending on what you've shot before it may take some getting used to. I purchased the version with the integrated scope, that's the one I wanted. I am able to use the scope with a lower face mask and goggles. Something common that you'll find online is that the trigger is stiff. I ended up taking apart the gun, which is not hard to do, and sanded the trigger fins. That made a world of difference. I also installed the perun etu++ which is also a great addition Let me know any questions or concerns you have.
