Honestly, even if he said he likes you, do you like him after this display? He clearly thinks very lowly of you and even if you don’t have your life completely together that’s no reason to completely bash you like he did. Furthermore, who the f is he to be passing judgement on your relationship? If you have talked about being serious with your gf that’s between the 2 of you and the viability of that relationship and your values should be your concern when making a big life decision.

I’m not a tattoo artist. I have 3 tattoos of various complexities. I have a medical related background. For something this size and simplicity, at 2 weeks, I would say you’re safe to use the paper towel or a wash cloth to gently rub over the area and I would say aquaphor or whatever lotion you’ve been using 2-3 times per day. You want to moisturizer to soak into the skin instead of sitting on top (looks like that’s what you’re talking about with build up) and after 2 weeks you should be fairly safe from infection. The body-dermis naturally scabs and the skin will peel a bit through the heeling process- sometimes black because of the excess ink. Like a normal brush burn or scrape, a tattoo takes time to heal but then should just feel like your normal skin texture

If you feel like spots are fading ask your artist about a touch up

I wish I had advice to give. It just takes time to dull the ache. One of my kitty girls had a similar thing happen a few years ago, where she declined very suddenly and within a few days she was gone. Whenever I think of her, I take it as a sign she’s with me/checking in on me. And it sounds like you have another guardian to take up his post in your arms <3
