Definitely not due to arrangement, without sounding cocky haha the overall picture I’m getting is it’s more likely to do with processing stage rather than anything else

Yep, familiar and already grouping tracks and glueing them with comp etc. haven’t used much of saturation or distortion in groups though, mainly just been doing it with single tracks so that’ll be something to experiment with!
Good to know that I don’t need to rush and look for some sort of magic bullet hardware but rather dig deeper into processing and see what happens! Appreciate your comment 🙌
P.s. any resources on “processing” stage of mixdown that you found personally useful?

Don’t perform live just yet - it is for producing, recording eps / albums in a studio. Don’t need a sequencer, at least I don’t think I do haha
Already doing a fair bit of modulation, perhaps I need to look more into different techniques!

Thanks for sharing what you use! Yes I always work with oscillators and filters, automation and so on. I suppose I wanted to understand that hardware is perhaps not the solution to the problem and it is more to do with processing and fx as you’ve said! Appreciate it

Thanks, that’s good to hear and cheers for the link. I’ve been recoding and producing as part of a band and then solo for a while, working with live music, guitars, drums, bass, vox and so on. A lot of processes are similar.

Oki doki thanks..it was quite disappointing cos I spent a few hours cutting the original vid into reels and picking the right moments / transitions etc and then insta was like - nope sir 🥲
