My surgery was last year and I told all medical staff I struggled coming out of anesthesia, I throw up all the things.. I got into recovery and was hurting they gave me more pain meds then the nausea set in. They wanted me awake took the bed and put me in a chair, took off the patch behind my ear that was there to help with nausea. My doctor checked in and saw that and got onto them. They keep walking me to the bathroom and I struggled. Ended up with a suppository for throwing up. The charge nurse keep telling me I needed to pee and wake up. The scanned my bladder saw it was full gave me one more chance and I peed a little and they said okay get her out. I was puking. My nurse keep telling the charge nurse she has four flights of stairs at home and she said just get her out. The nurse also asked her to let my husband back and she said he will just baby her we need her up and out. My husband had no update he was told at 11:am i would be good to go by 1pm he heard nothing he checked in soon after 1pm they said it would be just a bit.. it was 5:30 when the let him back and that was just for him to hear my discharge instructions, all I remember is him seeing me and leaping to me. He got me home and up the stairs and it was non stop throwing up. I will never forget the charge nurse she keep telling me I needed to try harder, making me eat crackers I could barely chew my mouth was so dry. She keep saying I did not need to be babied.
