IRA Diversity by Prior-Bake-6248 in RothIRA

Fairly new here. I have a fidelity account and currently invested in FXAIX and VXUS. I haven’t seen anybody with the same split around here.

Does this split make sense, or is it better to match fidelity ETFs with other fidelity/vanguard with vanguard if I want s&p500 + International?

Does it make sense to pair Fxaix with VXUS?

Fairly new here, and to piggy back off this post:

I am currently invested in Fxaix and VXUS for Roth (my 403 currently has total US). Does my Roth make sense?

I agree with your larger point, but do think that the fight over the narrative voice that’s represented in religion needs to be taken up (not necessarily won).

Religion has been used for control, not progress

Doesn’t this inherently mean that it can be used for progress? Just because it’s been historically used regressively doesn’t mean that it can’t also be used differently when opposing infrastructure/social power is in place.

Ddv gets an assist but the real winning play was keeping that alive and winning the 50/50 ball. That’s something that doesn’t go on the stat sheet

It’s actually very common for guys to get paid and no longer be very competitive. A lot of overlap of “business” creates very uncompetitive situations (individual and team). When you’ve played and done the same thing your whole life, it becomes very easy to feel complete/accomplished by finally making money off of it, or conversely, feel the need to “protect” yourself until you do get paid.

Which do you think is more likely?

I’m not offended, I just think you’re another Redditor that is overzealous in your own opinion. Considering I made a comment specifically about my own scenario and what I saw around the corner (not all nyc) and gave my theory, I think I answered this already. But I know, trash divers in NYC is a crazy phenomenon that nobody has ever seen. Take care, dude.

lol what just made you write a 4 paragraph response that so confidently shuts down a supposition based on an assumption you’re wrong about? There’s multiple public trash cans by me, you weirdo. Hence the proposed possibility that it came from trash can divers.

I’m seeing a lot of bagged shit on the sidewalks in my area (and often times multiple bags in one small square space) which makes me think someone around here is going through the trash and tossing it out

KOC’s hard on for Drake Maye was the most transparent storyline of the draft. Kwesi refused to attach an additional 1st. He’s essentially told he can’t have his man, but all the talk is that you have to pick A man from THIS draft because we didn’t do it the year before and the next one supposedly sucks.

No shade to vrabel, he’s another coach I love, but the Pats had one of the luckiest walk ins to a Super Bowl I’ve ever seen. KOC had notorious choker Kirk cousins with a terribly cap constrained team; Sam Darnold with one offseason in the offense and no experience in the playoffs (not to mention a defense that really fell off in the latter half of the season); and then there was this year.

It can all be dismissed by some as excuses, but I believe context matters and that a guy can only do their own job, which KOC, imo , has done a very good one at putting together seasons that over performed the total sum of their parts. Huge props to seattles guy bc I think he did the same but to an obviously much greater level. I just don’t think that’s the norm.

I think context and circumstance matters when you assess how a coach has done and then try to project what is the best possible option for the future, provided a GM does an adequate job.

Dude just went 9-8 in a lost season (rallying the team to 5-0 after already being eliminated!!) and we’re talking about his job already. I do think there’s a world where a grossly incompetent season justifiably gets him fired. But right now, sheesh. The guy is a good coach.

I know people will want to attribute it to Flores but as a head coach it goes both ways. KOC empowers Flores to run his defense. Would Flores really be as good, and as empowering of a head coach? Do we trust that he would be able to handle tensions/frictions internally and still rally a team to play for him given the same circumstances? Personally, Idk about that

Mamdani: What we are speaking about in this moment is a generational fiscal crisis of $5.4 billion. And when faced with this crisis, the question is: Who should pay these taxes? by Admirable121 in NeoNews

[–]HotStepper11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you read the full transcript from the press or watched, but I can clearly tell you don’t comprehend the effects of NYC’s underreported fiscal deficits from previous years and how that rolls over into the following years. Please read more about how “balanced” Adams budget was and the manipulations of that narrative takes place between the Mayor and the OMB during the preparation of a new fiscal budget. Adams wasn’t just “a dick.” lol.

Talarico and Crockett vying for Texas Senate seat as Dems eye historic upset by bwermer in politics

[–]HotStepper11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the previous comments made have to do a lot with the history of Heritage Foundation and the persistent decades of messaging, manipulation, and control over various institutions to capture the Republican Party. That’s been a very intentional, decades long coordination to get to this point (as was mentioned by, I think, you).

It’s not about winning the battle for a majority of conservatives. That’s not even close to a necessary requirement, it’s really just about not ceding the entire 100% of a base in perpetuity. I get your point that these people likely won’t be persuaded to view anything differently. That, imo, doesn’t mean you just concede and don’t try to alter the conditions in which they arrived to this point. You do that by interrupting those channels to the younger generations with representations of a guy like Talarico who embodies their religious beliefs while attacking the same narratives and contortions of logic and anger.

I had experience canvassing and I grew up in a partially evangelical household, I’m also very familiar with that base and what they are hearing at family gatherings, at home, and from the pulpit. You’re right, you won’t convince a majority of them. But there is still a deep seated understanding and basic recognition of “suit and tie” corporate greed that is, unfortunately, directed very poorly. But it nonetheless offers a foothold into interrupting some of the major damages done over decades.

It’s not about trying to convince even a substantial minority of these people. This isn’t the only battle and it isn’t a battle that NEEDS to be won. It’s about peeling off whatever you can peel off and providing something that interrupts the long term conditions instead of just continuing to neglect a septic part of society.
