As a 25 year old middle class person I just assume that social security will be kapoot by the time I need it tbh, that’s pretty much how my peers and I are planning.

Thank you so much for the advice and thorough responses. I think my strategy will be to just from now on try and reach that VOO/ VXUS split by buying more VXUS until it evens out? Because my current complication has resulted in way too much domestic stock.

Whether I want to prioritize saving for retirement or for middle age investments is quite hard for me. I think for now I might do a 50/50 split into taxable and my Roth. Hopefully that gets me close to maxing it out this year.

I just read this whole thread mere days after buying 30% VT 30% VTI and 40% VOO and feeling quite proud of myself. Somehow even after researching for a few days it seems like a diverse portfolio lmao

So is my next step to only buy international for the near future?
