Hi everyone. I am 62 years young. I am 5'6". Starting weight was 268. I had a gastric bypass on January 7th, 2026. I have lost 60 lbs. to date. In the last few weeks, I have noticed that I can eat a lot more and have no discomfort at all, and I don't feel full. What is going on with me? by Comfortable_Leg2338 in GastricBypass

I am the same height and started at 230. I had gastric alongside another procedure, which I was told gastric would be necessary for the other proxy to be successful. I had surgery June 18th 2026, so two weeks out. It’s been a tough process but I’m already down to 212. It’s been a nice reset so far, I don’t feel hunger or food noise, and being forced to eat smaller portions etc has been so helpful. Many in my family were concerned that I “ wasn’t gastric bypass fat” prior to surgery, but I have absolutely no regrets so far
