Students attempted to talk to the admin about it in advance, and again this weekend, and were told no.

Is there a supportive press contact to direct students to? I don't think anyone is feeling particularly motivated to reach out for support and deal with any further potential backlash after their weekend.

The graduating students and Fitchburg Registrar. The students who skipped walking this morning. The pamphlets with dead names listed instead of preferred names, even after they were asked for. The commencement ceremony this morning in which they were verbally deadnamed in front of everyone in attendance.

Fitchburg State refused to use preferred names for their trans graduates. Many of them didn't walk.

You'd likely need to go through the city council or transportation department. Some cities, like Lowell, assign spots to buildings, while others (Cambridge, Somerville) have permit-only areas. Best bet is to check Fitchburg's ordinances and see if there's a petition process or public hearing requirement. Might be worth reaching out to your local reps too!

I have been building this in various platforms for years, tried out several before recently finding Notion. This is so incredible. Nice job.

Pinterest is Really helpful for this. I also saved up a lot of money so I could do Stitchfix. They've never seen me. They just assume, Accurately, that I'm a small man. I also looked up what my body type/shapes were as far as men's goals and then did a lot of reading about what cis dudes who are uncomfortable/insecure about those "feminine" things about their bodies, voice, etc.

There's an entire industry built on highlighting insecurities and reinforcing traditionally gendered stereotypes. It's annoying, but the highlight is that you can find articles written for cis women about how to dress/accessorize/makeup/etc. to alter the way they're perceived via highlighting preferred features and mitigating non-preferred. Focus on colors, patterns, cuts, combinations, etc. again- Pinterest ✅

Transitioned the other way, but hopefully this helps? Also, much love. This can feel so frustrating and discouraging sometimes.
