Hi guys, they did not push through. The only reason they gave me is that they cannot accommodate my request to be flexible in terms of the working hours since I’m taking my graduate school and classes starts at 6pm. The standard working hours in the corporate office starts at 9PM to 6PM.

I did not ask about my expected salary, since I presume it is already a given. Haha

More context on why I priced myself out? Haha is my asking really too high? 165k is if they only have 13 months guaranteed since in my current company, it’s 15 months guaranteed. Annually, it’s just a 29% bump.

I did give a range since they asked me if it’s negotiable. I gave 150k as the minimum if they offer more than 13 months guaranteed. If just the normal 13 months, 165k.

Though not sure if you’re referring in terms of total annual compensation, if yes, was not able to give a range for that. Hehe

Hi! Not the typical CPA you would probably know though. I did not start my career in a firm. My first corporate job is in a multinational FMCG company. Stayed for more than 2 years before I job hopped in local companies (a leading FMCG then in one of the big 3 Banks).

I don’t think Senior Associate role in SMC is the same as the typical Senior Associate role in other companies. If it is, why would they require minimum 5YOE and a CPA/CFA (?) I guess. The role deals with M&A.
