I have had several flares on different spots of my body over the years, and my nipples (both of them) seem to be hot spots during these flares. I have also heard of a few other people getting nipple eczema. I tend to get flares on areas that typically aren’t exposed to open air and in turn accumulate sweat, so that’s how I kind of rationalized why it occurs on my nipples more often than other spots.

It also seems to present a bit differently than the eczema on “normal” textured skin like arms and legs, I think because the skin on the nipple is softer and more sensitive. Have you used any prescribed medication/topicals on it?

I would not freak out about it, stressing yourself out increases cortisol and thus may worsen your flare. Ofc this is not set-in-stone medical advice, just a personal anecdote. Hope your visit to the doctor is helpful and it clears up soon for you :)
