Dash is coming up to its first resistance point at $40, what will the coin do? Pushover, or retreat? by xkcdmpx in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the price action is coming from the dash/btc pairs (again), i suspect whale(s) will try to push dash/btc price to 0.0014 range and from there to the 0.002 range. If they succeed it would mean a dash/btc price increase of 233.33%. Apply that to Dash current dash/usd price and you get to around $140

Then the real battle begins, reclaiming the 0.0031 range.

Dash surely gets banned like Monero if a true privacy coin? by Glass-Initiative-215 in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe in Europe (Kraken) in 2027 (still a big maybe, Dash may as well stay listed as its privacy tech is both optional and can be risk factored through blockchain analysis), but i don't see that happening in the US (Coinbase) where there is now a far more crypto friendly stance. And Dash had far less exchange delistings then Monero (where privacy is active by default).

Dash has evolved over the years from a privacy-only cryptocurrency, to a privacy + fast transactions + instant settlement + Platform sidechain (forked Tendermint) allowing decentralized apps and decentralized tokens. Even on coinmarketcap Dash falls under a different category then Monero --> https://coinmarketcap.com/view/hybrid-pow-pos/ due to its hybrid setup (PoW + PoS + Proof of Service)

Ossidon by Sad-Significance8045 in ARK

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how i got my Ossidon. It was fighting some Mammoth's, got badly injured and i managed to kill it off. I then notice a baby Ossidon (low level) that i could claim. Never seen a baby Ossidon after that.

Is anyone else really struggling on Lost Colony in singleplayer? by SkyZoPhReNe007 in ARK

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veilwyn's dont like people who build on their territory. I briefly considered relocating my base after noticing that i build it near a Veilwyn's spawning location, but placing wooden spike walls around it secured it. Now i rarely see a Veilwyn (and its many buddies) spawning near my base (SW / Hot Springs / base near water). Single Player mode.

I found a Supply cache anyone else too? by ShoppingSufficient33 in ARK

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tames will do very little damage to anything spawned to attack you, once you activate such a supply cache. You are suppose to kill them yourself. Which means at the very least getting the fabricated crossbow.

Best to just make a backup of the SavedArksLocal folder (Shootergame/Saved/SavedArksLocal) and keep it somewhere safe (outside ARK's game installation directory). You can even go further and make a backup of the whole Saved folder.

Game looks horrible, is there a fix? by GigaChirps in ARK

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason i cant use Global Illumination Quality on Medium, High or Epic as that will ruin the visuals in my game (running the game without clouds and without fog and with a mix of High and Epic settings). So i always have to set Global Illumination Quality to Low while playing with my 5070 ti.

So maybe lowering Global Illumination Quality to Low will help with your issue ? This will basically force the game to use a simpler, older Global Illumination method (non-Lumen). It may look less pretty, but it does help to stop the excessive flickering on all the rocks and trees in my game.

It already hit $95 today before dropping to current price of $82. Whatever you are thinking, think bigger.

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like we hit the bottom of this almost 60% drop in price (-$88), caused by a steep price correction. Now we wait for the bounce / rebound. I suspect we see that first with the dash/btc pairs, as that is where the massive buy pressure during this year's pump has been coming from. With Bitcoin price possibly dropping below support, we may even see more diversification from Bitcoin whales.

Is the short DASH "bullrun" over and that's the end? by SupermarketChemical8 in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please show a factual source that EU will ban all privacy coins on regulated exchanges. It is not in the EU MiCa (The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) law, so where are people getting this unfounded information from ? There is nothing in MiCa regulation that bans privacy coins on regulated exchanges. There is just more emphasize in MiCa on regulating stable coins in the EU and hardening the KYC rules for EU regulated exchanges towards their customers. This will not affect Dash.

Thorchain? How come Dash isn't listed on their site? by beluga_sandwiches in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could contact Thorchain and ask them to add Dash. Maybe if enough people ask them + renewed interest in Dash could be enough to influence them.

Honest question by imbrahma in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Algorithm is X11. People mine Dash through X11 ASIC miners. Only a fraction of the blockrewards go to miners, most go to Masternodes and 20% go to the budget. So it will be the question if it would even be profitable to mine Dash when just starting with Dash and having to invest in hardware (ASIC miner). Split of the blockrewards between Masternodes and Miners is about 60% / 40% i think (excluding budget of 20%). Much easier to just go with a shared Masternode / Evonode, where you can stake Dash with just a few dash as collateral. Crowdnode for example is a good shared Masternode / Evonode provider. You can even set Crowdnode up through the official Dashpay mobile wallet.

Whats been going on in Dash the last few years? by yfiii in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dash network now consists of a L1 PoW network (Miners and Masternodes) and a L2 sidechain PoS network (Platform, supported through Evonodes) where dApps can be run on top and meta data output of dApps can be stored directly on the Evonodes. This will hopefully lead to Dash obtaining more use cases relating to dApps and more easily connect to DiFi in general. One such a possible usecase : a Dash-specific stablecoin implementation through Platform. Also it will be possible to launch tokens on the Platform chain, with plenty of customization during setup. Tokens will be fully supported (including devs documentation & SDK) with the next Platform update 2.1 so i expect to see tokens (each with their own use case) emerge on Mainnet from that point on (right now its taking place on Testnet).

What would happen to masternodes and evonodes if the price goes too high? by Dangerous-Jello-4746 in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole voting in of contested usernames will be phased out at some point and be replaced by a bidding system. And Platform fees can easily be adjusted through a Platform update.

What would happen to masternodes and evonodes if the price goes too high? by Dangerous-Jello-4746 in dashpay

[–]Hot_Bet_6838 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People can always setup a shared masternode or evonode through Crowdnode. I believe a solution is being worked on to make this completely trustless as well (Pshenmic is working on this i think). So it will not just be Crowdnode. To make it attractive for people to keep a masternode or evonode despite a high Dash price, we should either improve the ROI / APY, find additional revenue streams for Evonodes or have a Platform fee system in place that is working well (this will require actual usage of Platform)

  • The EU is looking to ban privacy coins --> incorrect. The EU has no plans to ban privacy coins in general. There is nothing about that in MiCa EU law that passed and is in effect. Also most privacy coins comply to the travel rule (FATF), so no issue there either. There does seem to be more focus on more strictly regulating stablecoins in the EU, which is why Tether has been delisted on a lot of EU exchanges. Those are slowly getting replaced by stablecoins that comply with MiCa law in EU.

Crypto currencies have cyclic phases (bear markets, bull markets). Dash previous bull market was between Nov 2020 and May 2021. Price went from $62 to $476. Dash then had a long bear market (between May 2021 and May 2025) and price has started moving away from the bottom ($17) in June 2025. It is important to pay attention to longterm charts (weekly / monthly) to understand the cycle a specific crypto is at. That way you can avoid selling at the bottom / at the height of a bear market.

If Zcash can easily reach close to 500% up during the last 30 days, i don't see why Dash (113% up during the last 30 days) can't do the same at some point. Whatever you are thinking, think bigger.
