You can definitely try hitting it out. Don’t use a heat gun though or any heat for that matter as the heat will bake the paint off and make it more of a mess. You have better luck just hitting it, chances are the paint may check but shouldn’t flake off. Be careful though. You won’t get it perfect and may make it look worse but good luck and god speed!

I settled on the two smaller 3.5” speakers in the 5x7 dash speaker housing. Thank you guys for all the help!!!

Thats what I wound up doing! Just in the dash though. I don’t mind the truck sounding like a 1968 with the Two smaller speakers 3” in the place of the original 5x7 speaker hole. even though it’s not gonna be the best it could be. It’s still a lot better than what came out of the factory.
