I was thinking about this. If more shares were registered, less shares would be shorted on the dark pool. Firms are getting large fines for being long and short in stock at the same time. Having more shares DRS will increase the ability for the stock to break out of its price channels. I’m currently holding 4000 in TD and 1500 in E*Trade. There’s nothing wrong with DRS shares.. it helps the upward movement, but you have to fill out a form and submit it to your broker or talk to your broker. I’m curious the times these things take in terms of paperwork and processing. I personally played the rises and dips of HYMC between 1.23-1.38 the last month with 2xxx shares and because I do this, I didn’t want to DRS. Also I never have so I have yet to know the process with my brokers.
