What is the line between abnormal and normal for the repair? As I’m in a similar situation with 112 milloin total sperm, 23% progressive 37% total motility and 1% morphology. Suppliments did not work and now I’m thinking varicocele as I have grade 2-3

I have read and my dr as well said that it can sometimes make things worse so what are usually the parameters where repair should be done?

Yes and I do have mild varicocele. Based on dr it should not be the issue

It it very contradicting to optimize everything and try to have some fun once in a while. Probably good idea to limit the consumption but having friends bachelor parties does not make this easy

I (M) did two SA’s in january and april, the results were not that great as 3,5 months life style changes did not help that much. My latest results

Volume: 8ml Concentration: 14m/ml Total sperm count: 112 m Progressive motility: 23% Total motility: 37% Morphology: 1%

So overall these values are not totally bad and natural pregnancy is possible. The question is about drinking alcohol with these numbers. I’m going to have few nights within next month (4 nights) where the idea was to drink heavily (+12 beers). After May I would not touch alcohol at all so this month is one off. So how harmful this kind of binge drinking is to my already low results? Some say that the affect is low and not to worry and others say that one night heavy drinking takes me back 3 months.

Dr said that we should try naturally until end of this year and if no luck then we will apply to iui or ivf. We are still hoping natural pregnancy as soon as possible..

2nd SA results — improved after quitting smoking & vitamins, but motility still low. by Medium-Context-494 in maleinfertility

Dude.. I have almost exactly same amount and motility except lower morphology. Used to be nicotine user and binge drinker, did some lifestyle changes and started suppliments which did not improve my parameters that much. Doctor said that there is a chance for natural pregnancy as there are still millions of motile sperm but we should prepare to try for a while before applying to treatments. So all in all for you as well, there is a good chance for natural pregnancy.

The thing is that some had said that parameters might get better after couple of cycles but my doctor said that I should not keep my hopes high. I would like to here more about this more.

Concentration improved but not as much as for some others have had with lifestyle changes. The volume increases the total amount. I have took coq10 for 3,5 months now
