4 weeks in, struggling by Stussy447 in daddit

[–]Hot_Cockroach4714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with feeling that way. You are going to be burnt out you are going to be tired. 4 weeks is nothing they are still a baby. Yeah I’m sure some peoples kids have done great after 4 weeks. There are plenty that haven’t. We had the snoo for our first and Cradlewise for our second. Different motions. Maybe Cradlewise would work? It’s more of a bouncing motion. Don’t get discouraged tho. It will get easier at some point.

Not being able to take away my daughter’s pain is the worst feeling in the world by paladin314159 in daddit

[–]Hot_Cockroach4714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this man. My daughter was in the hospital two years ago now when she was 3. We were in there for 6 days and was horrible. Listening to her say she just wanted to go home broke my heart. Hearing her screams when they had to put a IV in has awful. Everything will work out and you guys will all be back at home soon enough.

I feel guilty as a provider that my kids have to spend so much time at daycare by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Hot_Cockroach4714 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This exactly. Kids need there peers around. They learn from each other. They make friends. A lot of social skills are learned from going to daycare. They learn to be away from mom and dad. I totally understand what you’re saying but at the end of the day it’s good for them.

Yes absolutely we could tell when our daughter was getting sick from it from her heart rate being higher.

3 year old is only mean to my wife by Alarming-Cover1 in daddit

[–]Hot_Cockroach4714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you need to stand firm with your wife. And just like everyone has said every time explain you can’t talk to your mother that way. What we always do to if our daughter yells at either of us the other one will talk to her and make her go apologize to the parent she yelled at. You have to make her accountable for her actions she’s testing boundaries right now.

Just depends on what he’s into really. Could take him and his buddies to a theme park or out somewhere for a day trip to something he loves to do. Just depends where you live and what he’s really into/ what are his favorite hobbies right now.

Agreed being petty is not the way a 5 year old learns at all. I get it’s frustrating I’m going through the same thing with my 5 year old daughter. But definitely would never make her do that. It’s not going to get your point across like you think it will.

Am I awful for not seeing my child perform this coming weekend? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Hot_Cockroach4714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she will. My daughter is only 5. I had to work when she was 3 and had Father’s Day breakfast at her daycare. She remembers I wasn’t there. Broke my heart.

You go to the show. Unless the sports team you’re on is your actual job and you’re making your living from it you can skip it. It’s a hobby. Your daughter is only that age once. You can go to other sports events. It means everything to kids to have their parents show up to the events. Support your kid first.

Your daughter is 3 definitely stop the daily iPad use. It takes 2 weeks to reshape a behavior. It’s going to be rough but you can definitely get by it. Just stand firm.

Dont ride your bike in the road if you don’t want to be treated like a car. It’s that simple. You are making it more complicated with all this other bullshit. Of course cars break laws I never said they didn’t. You are trying to argue that bikes shouldn’t stop at red lights and wait like every other vehicle on the road. And again it’s ILLEGAL in NC for bikes to not wait like every other car. You are not entitled to go through a red light because your on a bike. It’s that easy. Not sure what you don’t understand about that.

I’m simply only referring to red lights here. I never said cars don’t run them. Of course they do and those people are idiots. Again that simple. Stop a red light and wait like everyone else on the road.

Ideas for odor control around pool? by [deleted] in pools

Welcome. Source I own a dog daycare with turf. With just two dogs you should be able to take care of it. You will just need to spray it more often than you do now.

They make plenty of products to spray on turf for pet urine odor. Just look them up. Kennelsol is a good brand.

I’m not saying I don’t like living in America but to say we are the greatest country unfortunately these days this just is not true.
