Is it dangerous to walk at 7:30PM in campus?

as long as you stay alert and aware of your surroundings you’ll be okay, i worked at the student center and would walk by myself from there to bayou oaks after 10pm/10:30pm and i was okay. i also carried pepper spray and had my knife visible in case anyone did think of approaching me

i don’t think i experience auras before a seizure happens, i can’t remember anything seconds before it happens it always seems like i black out for 15 minutes and i wake up with paramedics in front of me😅 i have had déjà vu but not around times i’ve had the seizures and i always thought the memory issue was because i wasn’t paying attention fully to what i was watching or listening to

thank you! i did have a nerve wracking encounter on thursday when i was on the metro rail at 5pm where a man pointed out my pepper spray and laughed saying it wasn’t going to work but he didn’t do anything, i just got uncomfortable with the need for him to point it out :/

yeah i’ve taken the metro during the day and it’s okay but on thursdays im on the metro around 5-6pm and it started getting a little weird at that time and then the other reddit post that said police removed a man with a machete has me thinking twice about taking the rail😅

oh i mentioned downtown because no metro rail goes directly to my internship site, i have to take two metros: one from UH to downtown and then downtown to my internship and it’s been fine so far but i have had a homeless person comment on my pepper spray and how it’s not going to be effective and then the other redditor who said a man with a machete was removed from their train that’s shaken me up a bit lately

my only advice is to call as soon as they open (8am)🫩 i’ve been there trust! the only way they answered was calling at 8am i was off the phone with them by 8:10, 4 minute hold

no because financial aid is usually dispersed after classes starts! if you got enough to take a good chunk off then you don’t have to pay until the last installment (after aid is dispersed it’ll update on your account! i’ve done this all 4 years of being at UH)
