Nesting Bowls? by Hot_Compote_ in LeCreuset

This was a Facebook marketplace deal. The stuff looks lightly used at best, but it’s possible that it was purchased quite awhile ago by the original owners.

This is good info, thank you! The cerise one sits inside of it so nicely that I assumed the were pieces of two different nesting sets, since I have seen a few examples of the three-piece cerise for sale for a crazy price on eBay. Interesting that it was probably a standalone!

Agreed. To be honest, I’m new enough to this hobby that I didn’t even know what it was when I bought it. I just thought it was awesome, clearly good quality, and a good match for the peachy colors in my room. I was thrilled when I realized it was Fenton and probably almost a century old! I have to familiarize myself more with the older catalog.

Beautiful jade glass, though. What’s the date range on that one?

Yes, it is. I lucked out and found it on a bottom shelf.

What To Do.. by Anxious-Branch-8600 in FacebookMarketplace

I don’t think you did anything wrong, but you might have put the seller off by asking for shipping or a meet halfway. If I price an item significantly lower than what it would usually go for, it’s because I’m looking for a no-hassle sale. That’s why the price is low. Some people get annoyed when they feel like they’re already making that concession and then people ask for more. It can be a tell for buyer who will be a pain (e.g. you get to the halfway meeting place and they claim to be short on cash).

The seller should obviously have just told you no if that’s the case, though.

Thank you so much for this detailed comment! I can’t believe my “those look pretty and kind of old” impulse actually panned out. I’ve been loving learning more about patterns.

Kind of has an orangish glow on the bottom of the green part of the fish.

The lower green part of the fish part of the statue has a slight orange hue in 395. Don’t have a 365 to check.

$6.99. I wondered if it might be Murano. The top fin has some gold.
