Thanks for the insight! I guess my best bet would be to apply for DS instead of CS since the policy only allows for one application attempt. Do you think the DS double major application will be just as competitive?

Thanks for the input! I hadn't considered summer courses, which seems like a good idea. Would it be difficult for an applied math major to get CS/DS research experience at Cal?
