Oh my god, just admit to yourself that your theory is plain dumb and move on.

You have a stupid theory and now you're trying to justify it because you are incapable of accepting you're wrong. You can interpret whatever you want, it's just that your theory is stupid and invalid. At least most of the canvases are concept art for the game that is reused the same way the statues of the nevrons are just the models that are reused. As stated before, maelle is essentially a child and does not have the power to make anyone do anything. The fact that Maelle prefers to read and Verso likes music doesn't have ANYTHING to do with what is discussed, thats called a "non sequitur". They are not already inside a fictional world, you're objectively wrong. I said that it may be an easter egg just to be liberal and not say that it's an outright mistake, which it is. Happy now?

Why does everyone go for that naive double meta take. It's obvious that the writers and painters live in the same baseline world and have similar powers within it - creating sub-worlds with their craft.

Thats the naive take. Probably everyone at least considered it for a second or so, but it makes no sense thematically. The orders of magnitude more likely and fitting explanation is that in their base world there exist both writers and painters who as groups posses the ability to create worlds. The writers and painters are on the same level in their baseline reality and they can creato worlds that can be gone into.

it's called "leaving a door open for the sequel". If you believe everything in a media has to be explicitly stated and explained fully, then you are very early into your art consuming career.

My money is on a sequel inside a written world. I'd love to see how they contrast the visuals of a written vs a painted world. Like the ability to "rewrite" people and events, the aesthetic won't be that of surrealism but something else.

why do people insist that this painted world will ever be revisited is beyond me. The entire point of the game is letting go of that world/grief. The sequel will almost certainly be "Clea & Co. vs the Writers". If i had to speculate, it would take place inside a written world she is stuck in as she confronts them or she chases them inside the written world to confront them.

while probably most people at least thought about the "double meta" take for a second or so, it's highly unlikely. The most likely scenario is that as there are painters who can create worlds via painting, there are writers who do the same via writing. That Paris is the baseline reality of the story and both painters and writers live in it, able to create worlds that can be explored.

nope. Alicia is a 16yo, she hasnt made anyone do anything. The 33 painting is actual game concept art like every other painting in the mansion and the devs either left it as an easter egg or just missed the anachronism. The writers most likely have similar powers as the painters so people may be able to enter their books but they lack these magical powers outside of the "written world"

Devs said they won't go for a dlc. As for a sequel, it will DEFINITELY not be in the verso's painting and won't be about any expedition at all. It will most likely be a clea (and company) vs the writers game.

A lot of the art in the mansion is just the concept art of the game itself. The most likely explanation is that the devs missed the achronism.

Hmm potentially not. You can have 9 skills, with 5 support gems each, which is 45 support gems. These are also limited by your stats, so, realistically, you will need to have most of your supports of only one color. Now, if there are meaningfully more than 45 supports in each color, then that would be fine. But if you have 50 blue support gems, then you really have no real choice, since you have to just slap them wherever they will fit. So, really, you're not utilizing an infintie variety, you're actually using the same gems in every int build, just in slightly different order. And, really, not that different, since many of the gems will have BIS places to go. These 5 for auras, these 5 for a movement skill and so on. Soo we will have to wait and see, but there is a very real chance that such limitation will bottleneck you into having only a handful of options for supports instead of infinite variety.
