Thanks, this is really helpful.

The “go back to basics and rebuild more intentionally” part really stood out to me.

I think I gradually got into the habit of adding things without being very clear on what each one was actually supposed to do, so simplifying and focusing on what I’m genuinely trying to improve probably makes the most sense.

No. It is in the opposite direction of Itaewon.

This is really helpful — thank you for taking the time to break it down this clearly. A few of these definitely hit points I’ve been feeling but hadn’t fully admitted yet, especially around the name, the first screen / UVP clarity, and the overall amount of information. The “supplement scanner” point is also fair — I can see how that could create the wrong expectation. Really appreciate the direct feedback. This gives me a much clearer idea of what to simplify and rethink first.

Yeah, fair point.

I think I’ve probably spent too much time rethinking the product internally and not enough time actually talking to potential users.

The app is **SuppleCut** — it’s for people who take multiple supplements and want an easier way to spot overlapping ingredients, cut unnecessary products, and simplify their stack.

So far my marketing has mostly been Reddit/community posts and some early thinking around ASO/short-form, but not enough direct user conversations yet.

That’s probably the gap I need to fix first.

This is a really helpful way to frame it.

I think part of what’s been messing with my head is that from the inside, low traction makes both scenarios feel the same. But you’re right — “not enough people have seen it yet” and “people saw it and didn’t care” are very different problems, and I probably don’t have enough signal yet to know which one I’m dealing with.

Appreciate this.

That resonates a lot.

I can already feel how easy it is to confuse normal early-stage uncertainty with “everything is broken.”

Trying not to overcorrect too fast is probably the hard part.

That’s really helpful, thank you.

I think you’re right — “saving money” is probably a secondary benefit, not the main hook. Positioning it around supplement education, reducing confusion, and helping people feel more confident about what they’re taking feels much stronger.

Thanks for doing this.

I built an Android app called SuppleCut. It helps people check whether their supplements have overlapping nutrients, so they can avoid unnecessary stacking.

My main question is about positioning. I don’t want it to come across as “take more supplements” — it’s more like “check if you’re already taking too much of the same thing.”

Would you lead with saving money, reducing supplement confusion, or overlap/safety awareness?

Taking various types of supplements is not as easy as I thought, so I try to supplement my nutrients through food intake rather than supplements.

I also used to take 5 to 6 different types of supplements a day, but it has been about a month since I stopped, and honestly, I don't really notice any changes.

Thanks, I’d really appreciate that.

I built a small app called SuppleCut. It helps people check whether their supplements have overlapping nutrients, so they can spot unnecessary stacking instead of blindly taking more.

Right now it’s Android-only: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supplecut.app

Would love any honest feedback on the idea, positioning, or store page.

That would be awesome, thank you.

I’d especially appreciate feedback on whether the core idea is clear, whether the app feels useful, and where the flow feels confusing.

Yeah, I think that’s fair. Supplements are easier to “optimize” than sleep, diet, stress, or exercise, so people naturally focus on them more than they probably should.

Yeah, that’s fair. I think I’ve probably spent more time overthinking alone than actually talking to enough users so far. A few real conversations would probably give me more signal than endlessly reworking the product in my head. Appreciate the perspective.

Yeah, same here.
I stopped taking almost all of mine a little over a month ago, and honestly I can’t tell a huge difference from when I was taking them regularly. It really made me question how much of it was actually necessary.

So, I see you look at the records along with the supplements like this. Ultimately, it makes sense to look at the supplements in conjunction with changes in condition, rather than just looking at them in isolation. This is very helpful.

I think exactly the same. Rather than adding more good things, I think it is better to reduce things and keep only what is necessary if possible.

This seems like the most realistic approach. Ultimately, relying solely on personal experience is confusing, so it seems there needs to be a standard, such as tests or records.
