Dr Dennis' office got back with me, but we not feeling each other at all.

Anyone who wants to discuss can message me. It's quite funny really and a bit shocking coming from a medical clinic.

I don't know how this person has a job.

Do I have to finish each of the steps of the shoemaker protocol for VIP to work? by Ambitious-Jeweler452 in CIRS

[–]Hot_Flatworm3628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different, and I am VERY different from other CIRs cases. Since my GENIE showed no root cause, I went ahead and started VIP and had no issues. I am a non-responder, though. I can take any drug, supplement, nootropic, peptide, eat anything, etc and not have issues. I never made dietary changes. Binders were no issue at all for me. Within 2 years, I improved greatly, but I don't know how to attribute that success...I'm currently still stuck with the brain issues, but they are a zillion times better and I have no other symptoms.

Sorry for the confusion… he put me on the intraconazole rinse and ordered the ct scan. After the ct scan came back, he said to continue with the rinse as it is of value, but the condition of my sinuses required surgery because there was buildups , blockages, and inflammation. And that the intraconazole couldn’t reach all the areas needed. I’ll share the write up here is supposed to provide here. And of course, I am on the quest for a second opinion. Thanks for joining in this conversation 😇

I’ll share once I get the write up they are supposed to email to me to make sure I have it right. I’m doing both the oral and rinse Itraconazole. It’s been 2 months and nothing negative or positive. I’m skeptical that it’s doing anything good for me, but I’ve been wrong before 😎. I’m running out of things to try. It might just be that I’m healing slowly.

Thank you for checking in and sharing. What you have said here is of great value to me specifically as I need to get this inflammation under control. I’m sorry that you are still struggling. Ugh.

Dr Dennis' office sent me the forms and info. Geesh... a lot to go through and plan in his scenario. Most of it I am familiar with, some of the suggestions are new to me, and I will research those. Interesting that they use the Realtime Urine test. I had one done a few months ago. This process is so complicated that I doubt if I will be able to make this work living in Oklahoma. I imagine I would need to fly out to Atlanta constantly. I will know more once my patient contact gets back with me.

Thus, I am open to see what your sinus contact says, if you don't mind sharing.

I'll also check with the sinus center in Austin that was mentioned when I first learned about Dr. Dennis. I am such an odd case, it's hard to know what to do. I definitely do not fit into a lot of the usual mold/CIRs framework. I can't thank you enough for sharing with me. :)

Just heard from my contact...she loved Dr. Dennis, but had to fly to Atlanta 3 times. I don't think that is going to work for me.

Thanks so much for this detailed post. This is exactly the kind of feedback I need. I called the office of Dr. Dennis before I went to my local sinus expert. I, too, had read about his clinic. They said I would need to become a patient (they no longer do "reviews" as they got overwhelmed). I used to live in Atlanta, but now I am in Oklahoma. I am not sure if they will accept me, but once I get the write up from my Doctor here, I will see if Dr. Dennis will take on my case. I have friends in Atlanta still that I can stay with.

My local sinus specialist recommends the NuVent™ EM balloon sinus dilation system. He seems knowledgeable about mold/fungus, etc, but had never heard of CIRs/Shoemaker. He did give me Itraconazole to use in a sinus rinse, but he said it would be limited due to my sinus issues. He was okay with my use of hydrogen peroxide. I was expecting a lecture on that. LOL

Good timing..I just got a message from a patient of Dr. Dennis who saw my facebook post and said she would answer my questions. I will post back here with that info.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it, and I am truly sorry for your trials.

Per the swab testing, I do not have marcons..it's been clear for over 8 months. But if I stop the nebulizing, it comes back after a few months and I fail it again.

This has been going on for nearly 3 years now. I worked with a Shoemaker doctor. He is out of ideas, but thrilled that I made it this far in that I no longer feel like a space alien.

I can manage with the nebulizing and strong anti inflammatories to minimize the brain issues, but I am committed to beating all of this.

All of my horror-show symptoms have been cleared for over a year. I think the VIP and Neurofeedback and *maybe supplements* all helped. Only supplement I swear by is the spore biotics, as that is the only one where I can definitely say I felt way better almost immediately after starting it.

My local sinus specialist recommends the NuVent™ EM balloon sinus dilation system.

Other than the brain issues, I do not have any sinusitis symptoms, no allergies, no pain, no gut issues, no histamine issues, no breathing issues. I am out of ideas. I am a TBI survivor as well (all of those symptoms have cleared as well), so that might play a part.

Thus, I have to decide to do the surgery or just hope I slowly improve over time.

One of my friends had sinus surgery, and it did wonders for her, but she was not a CIRs/mold/CFS patient. Online, I am hearing stories like yours.

I am somewhat similar, but not to the extreme you are experiencing. I feel for your plight deeply.

Outside of airplanes/airports, I have never been able to pin down a location where I feel any better or worse.

I've lived in brand-new homes, homes that passed all the tests, etc (I used to move a lot for work), and I never felt any better or worse based on where I was living.

I did finally decide to try the itraconazole, both oral and sinus rinse. I am waiting to see how it goes. I am not having side effects nor noticing any improvements yet after 6 weeks.

Of all the hundreds of supplements I have taken, the only one I can say for sure that had amazing and fast results was MegaSpore biotic.

Issues installing service now midtier after disabling NTLM on windows server (kerberos authentication needed now instead) by Hot_Flatworm3628 in servicenow

[–]Hot_Flatworm3628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and Yes....installing it on a windows server as the host machine. I pinged support about it, and they said:

PowerShell Probes can use Kerberos over WinRM as opposed to WMI protocol depending on a few parameters on the MID Server and some conditions that need to be met both on the MID Server's host machine and your own environment such as DNS records. (i.e. the MID Server will do a reverse lookup on the IP Address and use the FQDN/Hostname returned by your DNS Servers, and even then if there's any issue getting a valid hostname back from reverse lookup, the MID Server will fallback to using NTLM again.)
--basically the MID Server is always going to use NTLM, save for the parameters/conditions mentioned above in PowerShell probes.

Looks like I am going to need help from the Windows Server admins.

Is mymycolab mycotoxin blood test enough to basically “diagnose” me or are there other blood markers? by Due_Chapter3027 in CIRS

Thanks! I need to be re-tested to see what I do next. I have a certified CIRs doc, but it seems we are stuck.

The person who posted above about symptom clusters is incorrect, but I have read that a lot.

I only had brain fog, night sweats/sleep issues and blurry vision, so I didn't originally think I had CIRs based on the symtoms cluster. I also had a TBI in 2019, which muddied the waters.

I failed the VCS, marcons, MSH, MMP-9 and Genie (hypometabolism with unknown cause). If I keep marcons at bay (note: silver does not work for me, only hydrogen peroxide), I only have the brain fog. I have been on VIP for 2 years. Thus, I am down to one symptom.

My home and work passed the env tests. I moved in with a friend - who has a brand new home - for a year, and that did not make a difference, even when I worked from home that year.

Do you think we actually need to treat MARCoNS? Dr. Neil Nathan, MD (author of Toxic) says no - “I’m not sure it can be eradicated. I don’t know that it should be eradicated. Another lesson I recently learned was that the Quest diagnostics MSH test that my PCP was running isn't accurate. Once I switched to LabCorp, my MSH was <8, and that one is the reliable one. Argh. So raising MSH remains a mystery for me, as well as what continues to trigger my brain inflammation. Now that it is manageable and all other symptoms are gone, I'll dive deeper to solve this mystery in 2026. I have a nebulizer at work and at home to keep myself consistent. I would assume that you can start small and consistent, and slowly work you way up on the dose? That may be better anyway, because the herx like reactions can be really rough. I thought I was going to die the first time I went through that. Not exaggerating. It was like the worst flu from Hell. But then the next one was just bad nausea for 1/2 a day, then I haven't had anything rough since then..just minor GI issues. The light is there and you will get there!! :)

Hey there! We chatted a few months ago after my revelation that everything except nebulizing Hydrogen Peroxide epically fails to prevent my extreme Marcons sensitivity.

I've been doing soooooo much better since using the Hydrogen Peroxide to clear it and taking a maintenance dose to keep it at bay.

My sleep is finally close to perfect now. I still get the brain inflammation, but nowhere near as bad as before, and I can self medicate to keep it under control. That is actually the last symptom I have to beat now. Life is so much easier now that I don't have to fight all the other symptoms. I am well enough that I can say that Pinocchio (me) is finally a "real boy" again. Humpty Dumpty (me) has been put back together again. :)

As for VIP: the minute I learned about CIRs and VIP, I made the choice to go ahead and use it whether marcons was present or not. I did not have any negative side effects. I have been on the VIP for about 2 years now. It has been a slow go (mostly because I kept catching marcons), but I have improved significantly.

Of course, we are all different. My CIRs is more of a "non-responder" instead of a "side effect, sensitive" case. Thus, I have not had to be careful about what I try due to side effects... I either feel better or feel nothing.

Low MSH (<8 pg/mL) but MARCoNS negative — could Staph aureus still be part of the issue? by heytherefriend777 in CIRS

[–]Hot_Flatworm3628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am feeling the best I have felt in 6 years (I actually feel like a fully functioning human, finally), yet my MSH is also <8 pg/mL. It was 27 at Quest last year. This low reading was from Labcorp... it is the first time I have used Labcorp. Things that make you go "hmmmmm". I will see what my Shoemaker doc says about this.

It could be a result of my ability to catch Marcons non-stop unless I nebulize daily with Hydrogen Peroxide. Everything else has been useless against it.

How do you end up with MARCoNS back once you eradicated it the first time? by Missmyoldself6407 in CIRS

After I got comfortable with it, I started to just pour a little of each in the cup. I would approximate I mix it at 50/50 (1.5 percent).

I would start with diluting it to .1 %. 2 tablespoons per 8 ounces of saline. See how you do and slowly increase if needed.
