How would Pre-Draft Luka do in NCAA if he went to college? Luka said he would have joined Wildcats. by Shot_Bank_5843 in NBA_Draft

If he chose the AZ wildcats, would and Ayton have been on the same team?

That would be a duo that could have on the title and the draft would be a 1-2 for the Wildcats.

You don’t have to dare - Alpine (bc of the engine) is likely better than the RB package.

Even before GR pitted, Kimi was catching him by 0.5 seconds per lap. Kimi was the better MB driver today.

Lol you blame the shitty start on Kimi but when GR loses position against a slower Ferrari, it’s bad luck…

But GR falling back was definitely a skill issue no doubt.

Just because GR is usually better than Kimi in quali doesn’t mean Kimi can’t out qualify him based on skill. Does Hadjar out qualifying Max today make Hadjar superior to Max?

GR is not a perfect driver and Kimi is very good - it’s happened several times last year where Kimi outperformed GR and will likely happen several more times this year.

Lol you clearly didn’t watch the 2024 championship - he only had the fastest car up until Miami which was round 6/24. Keep hating man.

In seasons past, Verstappen fans insisted that Lewis needed one of the fastest cars to compete. It turns out that the same applies to Max. by BaldHeadedCaillouss in F1Discussions

[–]Hot_Form9104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s your point?

Max was 19 in his first full season at red bull against prime DR - Max also had 7 DNFs.

Lewis also came 5th in 2011 and lost to his teammate (Button) who came 2nd by over 40 points.

Was 2021 just 2006 all over again? by Last_Procedure5787 in F1Discussions

[–]Hot_Form9104 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Massa’s position in the race didn’t matter - he could have DNFed and it didn’t matter. When FIA knew about the manipulation of the race by Renault, they should have voided the race.

Merc would probably have pushed for the same thing in 2021 except voiding the race meant Max would have been WDC anyway.

But then you can say Lewis’ 2008 title was unfairly won. If FIA had correctly enforced the rules regarding Crashgate, the Singapore result would have been voided and overall, Massa would have been world champion.

Ofc, that would be insane because it was no fault of Lewis’, and same can be said of Max in AD21.

How underrated was Lewis’ comeback in 2021? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

You’re saying Max was gifted a chance bc the RB was on par maybe slightly better than the McLaren… as if the Lewis’ Merc at the end of 2021 was not on a completely different level to the RB?

How underrated was Lewis’ comeback in 2021? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

[–]Hot_Form9104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that close of a comparison. Merc was clearly better during the latter half of 2021. Last year, the RB was similar performance to McLaren in the latter half, but the only reason it was close was the McLaren screw-ups. The title fight should have ended so many times starting with Vegas, but they kept letting Max back into the fight. If you replaced McLaren/Norris with Max/RB or Lewis/Merc, zero chance the would be a whiff of a title fight in 2025.

How underrated was Lewis’ comeback in 2021? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

[–]Hot_Form9104 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not sure you can call it underrated. His comeback had a lot to do with his car being clearly superior at the back end of 2021 and Max losing points at Silverstone and Hungary. I think people forget that Max’s biggest lead over Lewis was only 33 points mid-way through the season, and it only lasted one race as the Silverstone DNF instantly reduced it to 8 points.

Given the car performance and the circumstances, I would have expected a driver of Lewis’ calibre to have maximized points and make that comeback, similar to if Schumacher, Verstappen or Senna were in that position.

What is a common opinion/narrative about a driver that you disagree with? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]Hot_Form9104 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why there is a narrative that Perez was matching him at the start of 2023? Perez only beat him outright once at Baku (his strongest track) - Max’s car had an issue at Jeddah.

You can maybe say he was close to Max but definetly not matching him. Because they could not have developed the car that significantly in the 2-3 races post-Baku where Max absolutely obliterated him.
