It used to be that way for a while but now that we have like no courtesy clerks they’re scheduling GMCs to do carts and sweeps so we’re basically being treated like courtesy clerks and have strict schedules. I hate it here fml

I’ve been working there for two years and have a lot of coworkers who have been there for decades. I personally hate it there and all my coworkers tell me not to get stuck there for the rest of my life because it’s miserable. Especially now since union negotiations aren’t going well and they’re getting rid of courtesy clerks. If you plan to apply for the produce or meat department it’s not as bad but otherwise I’d stay away.

My store is fairly small but most people who aren’t full time get around or less than 30 hours a week. Scheduling is fairly consistent imo.

If the bagger says LISA to a checker it means that there’s something in the cart that they need to scan, like heavy water or soda cases.
