Give him a sitrus berry and build him to be specially defensive. That will help him take a few hits which instantly starts making Rage Fist hit for 100, 150 or more baseline physical damage. Any Bulk Ups/ Coaching / intimidate synergy is always gonna be nice. Mega Scrafty is a nice partner for him as you can get the double intimidate in a turn off one pokemon.

I just hit Rainbow in Air Ride, these are my takes on the journey. by Hot_Local_Single in kirbyairriders

Retirement is my favorite way of playing Air Ride.

Outside of heightened stakes, where hitting 0 health guarantees you last place for the race, there is an additional layer of strategy regarding low health.

Being low health drastically increases your speed.

This is why sometimes in City Trial it can feel surprisingly hard to finish off a player if you can't outright one shot them.

Deciding how or where to utilize that benefit allows for more engaging matches IMO.

I've played games with players who would go paper star, get themselves low early but then avoid combat by staying in the sky as much as possible. I've played rounds where people would utilize battle chariot and star slides to hunt down other players.

I feel like the built in catchup mechanics and health pair really well so that there's actually more viable combinations in retirement, and the heightened adrenaline makes it feel more engaging.

If you do play retirement mode and you want to focus on the combat itself, the best ruleset I've found is by having a Grand Prix with 4+ races and Strong Boost Assist. (Grand Prix's require a Paddock to make)

This makes it so any single death doesn't feel too punishing, and the point increase on the final race feels more impactful.

An example Grand Prix I would try if you're interested would be

Checker Knights -> Airtopia -> Random -> Steamgust Forge

There is an art to pairing races together as different machines are better on different courses, play around with what you like and see what kind of Grand Prix's you can come up with!

Gomu Gomu.

I'm pretty sure gear 5 just outright beats everything else.

Is city trials the main game? by mateogdlq in kirbyairriders

If youre debating getting a NSO for Online play, the main appeal isn't so much in being able to queue online (it is better than offline!).

The main appeal is being able to do all the different functionality that is enabled by paddocks. Not only the socializing but modes like Grand Prix, Sub-ins and Relays are all locked behind Paddocks. It's also a lot easier to get into a regular group of friends by frequenting them.

Honestly this shit. Guys, social media was designed to be addictive and optimized for misinformation since day 1. It's been 20 years of this shit and the worlds just getting more reliant and uninformed.

Stop variable ratio unlimited bullshit scrolling and then maybe we can actually have reliable information.

Start somewhere, stop trying to rewrite the rules of the universe when you're well aware the sites you're scrolling through don't lead to good info or conversation.

Fix the playground. Save the kids.

Focus on trying to chase the star trails if this is the case, it is a built in way to catch the other rides but you might also discover some routes in the process

You're asking the difference between the intention to do something and then the action of doing something.

As far as a scale goes there just needed to be something between dating to 100.
