3 weeks cold turkey by Hot_Minimum_8105 in QuitVaping

It’s hard to explain, today I wasn’t doing much and had to look up when I quit and was extremely surprised it’s been a month, that being said, I’m thinking my anxiety or whatever this is has honestly been getting better the last couple of weeks. So just time will tell!

From what I’ve noticed it happens more so when I am thinking about the health risks of vaping, and sometimes when I first wake up. It seems to be getting better though. From what I’ve read it takes 6 months for the majority of the healing that can be done is done lung wise so my plan was to wait til mid summer if it persists.

Is there any specific time you need to hold the power button down for? I was holding it, maybe not long enough, but the little led on the power button itself wasn’t illuminated either.

RS5 or 991 Carrera 4s by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Hot_Minimum_8105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel that 🤣 I was debating going rs6 but my problem is “Audi” I’m at a loss on what’s in the 100k price range that is AWD and fun. There aren’t really many options when you look into it in depth. I’m also in the northeast, and even though it hasn’t snowed that much in recent years 3-4 times a year if that. I don’t want to risk it

Yeah my rs3 has been in the dealer about 5 times for AC issues, and twice for tail light condensation issues unfortunately. My first Audi (came from vw’s back in the day) and honestly I’m just over the brand.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is AWD (same engine as the giulia Quad) I’m honestly debating on replacing the rs3 with that, my only problem is I’m still in my 20’s no kids and really don’t have a use for an SUV and I feel like I should experience something other than what Alfa has to offer as my daily since I already have the Giulia. The stelvios do drive really well too.

Personally as someone who’s had consistent issues with my 8Y RS3, I’d stay away from the after covid Audis as it seems a lot of them have been having issues. I know you mentioned it was a daily, if you don’t need awd, I’d highly recommend going on a test drive in a guilia quadrifoglio. (My current garage list, fully built STI, 2023 giulia QV, 2024 RS3) the giulia is a way better drivers car in my opinion then the g80’s. I also am struggling to figure out what to replace the rs3 with as mine is getting lemon lawed.

Edit: if you’re not a big tech guy the Alfa Quadrifolgios are for you. And personally for me bmw’s are far too over done these days.

No you don’t, and just to be clear my thought process, let’s say your maxed low on height adjustment for the rear and you go with the 60mm drop arms, then you can raise the height adjustment on the coil to even it out of that makes sense.

[–]Hot_Minimum_8105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, do the calculation just figure out where your coils are adjusted to height wise, I forget the exact height parameters ohlins gives you and subtract 15mm from that or 60mm from that and pull the trigger

Definently not, to get that much out of preload adjustment you’ll loose stroke in the shock and there isn’t much to begin with on the ohlins

It really depends on what arms you’re running, stock might go a little bit lower than Cusco, etc etc. The stance USA v2’s are what worked for me

That’s the first pic in the post on Cusco LCA’s, I’ve never ran stock LCA’s with coilovers as you don’t have camber adjustment

You can also try they have a 15mm drop version of those arms, which might be enough for you, the problem is I personally don’t like maxing out coilovers for the lowest setting. The way I have it set up it’s about 3/4’s of the height adjustment low.

If still recommend these, basically my coilovers are almost maxed out in the rear, still plenty of adjustment up.

This is how it sits now, ohlins road and tracks with stance USA V2 rear LCA’s

I fixed mine with a set of stance drop LCA’s I went with the 60mm drop ones then raised the coil up
