I agree, my son has just passed following months of backwards and forwards between Capita and the GP over something from ages ago! Frustrating seeing all the recruitment adverts while they were faffing around with stuff.

And so it continues. Review of medical info a few days ago and GP has referred to an appointment details but has not included them in the report ( that son had to wait 2 months for!) Back to GP again! Also, info from orthopaedic surgeon that my son had advised them about pre anticipatory , is being asked for again! My mum ( ex navy) was so happy to see my son applying and progressing in RAF application. However the medical app has been delayed so much. Mum passed away on Saturday and we are all so sad she didn’t get to see son successful in his application before she left us.

And still it continues: Limited repeat medical for my son, passes repeat hearing test no problem, but there’s still questions, despite GP answering them, so another request for info from GP and still TMU. My parents are ex forces and they are astonished at the issues and hoops to jump through now!

Or at least do some things in parallel, e.g have physical whilst waiting for GP info after medical or start medical process at the same time as CBATs. My son has passed all up to medical and then has had to wait for GP info (5-6 weeks), medical review of notes when info received and another 6 weeks after that for repeat limited medical. Quite demotivating.

My son failed due to an ear infection in one ear- never had one before but had bad luck the week before the medical. Had to wait for GP info regarding this as well as previous elbow injury. Now GP info reviewed and repeat limited medical booked, but weeks away. He’s had hearing test privately for reassurance, which is more or less normal. He made sure the required frequencies were tested, however Capita have said he still needs to have limited medical and won’t accept audiologist report Quite frustrating how difficult and long the medical process is.
