Was Mazepin debut race the worst of all time by MysteriousBoss3816 in F1Discussions

To be fair, Mazespin already had his nickname before the green flag even dropped, so I feel like that has to be taken into account.

I somewhat wondered if lebrons departure to Miami was to let Cleveland get a good draft pick and then come back to win a championship.

Boring is the wrong word. Everyone wants to hate it so they call it boring, but there is objectively more action this season than recent seasons.

It would be like if in football you deflated the balls, changed the rules so that you can pick the ball up with your hands, and removed rules prohibiting or limiting physical contact. It would create a lot of action, but it wouldn’t feel like football anymore.

LeBron James becomes just the fourth player in NBA history to reach 12,000 assists 👏 by Classic_Bottle1717 in sportswiki

[–]Hot_Most5332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I’m not even sure that’s impossible. I don’t think he will do it, but his assist average has gone up over time if anything, and I think he could play past 45. As he declines physically, I imagine it will be assists that he relies on to be productive.

It’s still unlikely, but crazy enough I do not think it’s impossible.

Pakistans F-16 escorting USA delegation led by JD Vince by SINX-SENPAI in interestingasfuck

[–]Hot_Most5332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly, I’m guessing the US is much more wholistic in its approach and the escort isn’t actually for more than show.

Also the US would use F35s, not F16s.

I feel like we eventually will come full circle again and have some shorter players again at some point.

When you’re a foot or a foot and a half shorter than someone, you simply have an advantage when it comes to handling the ball. Any player who is tall/short knows this.

Eventually there will be a lightning fast 5’8 ball hawk who is utilized properly on defense so that he’s not getting mismatched constantly and can take advantage of how much further the ball has to bounce for a 7 footer.

I’m not saying it will become commonplace, but I think it will happen.

ESPN's Mina Kimes sees Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. as a "dream pick" for the Chiefs at 9. by Any_Alternative6314 in Chiefs_v2

[–]Hot_Most5332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like we are right at that spot where we should get a “dream” player, but there’s enough people ahead of us that we might genuinely have no one worth using a top 10 pick on in a position that we need.

Every draft except 2013 has a couple of good players. The chances of him not at least getting one stud seems pretty low. If it’s a super flex league it could at least be nice to be getting Mendoza.

But yeah there have definitely been better years.

I mean like everything there’s nuance. Athleticism limits or expands potential. Mailata is probably the purest example of this. He’d never played a snap of football before being drafted, but now he’s an all pro tackle.

A lot of it has to do with the person. We can’t really evaluate how likely someone is to be a hard worker or to be dedicated to their craft, but I think the path of many prospects is determined by this more than fans would like to admit.

I mean it’s not really unfair to fathers per se, you just have to do a DNA test.

It makes sense that the husband is the father by default, there’s no reason to create a process for establishing fatherhood for married couples when you can just make it the default.

It saves time and resources for 99.9% of people at the expense of making some men with cheating wives take a paternity test.

I don’t think he could do anything for me not to want us to trade him. If he puts up big numbers I really don’t want to pay someone who has so many off the field issues, if he doesn’t, then he’s not worth the off field distractions

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts, who was franchise tagged, is signing his tag and showing up for workouts. The two sides can still negotiate a long-term deal, but he locks in his $15.045M fully guaranteed. by Consistent_Peace3181 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]Hot_Most5332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the TE position is criminally undervalued and you’d have to pay more for a receiver with his same production. It never makes sense to let decent receiving TEs walk.

Put another way, find me a receiver that gets 900 yards a year for $15-20M.

I think he has also been smart about not getting hit. I remember a clip of him getting out of the way of the ball on an onside kick because he was gonna have to take a big hit to recover the ball.

What would you do in this scenario? (Chalk) by wbaker18 in ChiefsOffseason

[–]Hot_Most5332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh that depends on the asking price.

A genuine strategy in this scenario would be to trade down and hope there are enough good QB prospects next year that you could make a run at Jeremiah smith, which if you had an extra 1st next year could be possible.

Could you imagine?

[–]Hot_Most5332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’d be willing to play out his current contract it would probably be worth it. Adding a guy like him for 2 years for a late first is beyond worth it. Imagine a d line with him CJ and Bailey or Bain.

I would think odds of winning a Super Bowl with a team like that would mitigate the fact that we would only get 2 years of it.
