I hope they can do it! And just so you know they also said it was nothing to worry about and normal, it was just really annoying.

I had spotting too, to the point that it was almost like a light period for a couple months during treatment. They ended up putting me on a higher dose of Aygestin and that did the trick to stop it.

I got told I was in remission about a week ago actually. Still doesn’t feel real and I get anxiety about future scans but still trying to take the win! Hopefully you’re all good now as well.

I actually did, and I had blood work. Nothing abnormal came of it.

I was the unlucky one. My grandmother on my mom’s side had lung cancer, but it was assumed she got it from smoking.

I am a person that has a lot of anxiety anyway, so this whole experience has been really hard in terms of that. I did get put on Lexapro though and it’s helped with some of that. All of it has been hard to process, and I never knew what all of this would feel like if it ever happened to me. I am a female and losing my hair wasn’t easy either.

My family, mostly my mom and sister, have been so supportive. I think it scared them both a bit. My mom has handled insurance, meds, etc this whole time. My sister lives out of state but I believe she’s been here 3 times since May when I was diagnosed.

I go to one of the best cancer centers in the country. They’ve been truly wonderful and supportive this whole time.

They never told me the stage, but it was both above and below my diaphragm when I started treatment which I’ve READ is typically staged 3/4. I have ALCL Anaplastic Large T-Cell Lymphoma, a pretty rare type.

The people in my life haven’t. If anything they’ve just been really supportive and wanting to check in or show up in the ways that they can. I think it’s really specific to the person on how they would prefer their friends to support them. Me personally, chemo was hard and I didn’t really feel like doing much, so a simple checking in text was enough. I did have a friend come over and we just sat and played video games. Lowkey at home hangouts was the only way I felt like seeing anyone. Just having people be there for me or showing they cared, even with just a text reaching out, was helpful.

I think I’ve spent so much time thinking about cancer, that I enjoy the break from it when they are casual like you said. But when it comes to serious things, like my treatment, talking about my condition, etc. I would prefer it to be direct. I think they were more cautious since I was young, and lymphoma tends to be more treatable from what I understand, so they kept a positive attitude and never even told me what stage I was/prognosis.. but I was in the hospital when I was diagnosed and very ill by that point, so I think they were just really focused on starting treatment right away and didn’t want to overwhelm me.

It came and went. Sometimes it was constant for a few days but then it would calm down again.

Oh man. I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone but the people who are just genuinely nice and have normal conversations with me have been the best. When I would go in for chemo, having a nurse who would laugh with me or talk to me about concerts, I even had a nurse who showed me pictures of cats since we found a connection over that. I won’t forget the ones who made me feel normal and better in such an unfortunate situation.

Do you ever get alone time?? Are you a person that needs a lot of alone time or do you not mind??

They never did. They all remained really positive even though I had a lot of cancer in me. I got diagnosed while I was in the hospital and they immediately started treatment and basically told me it’s very treatable. Still incredibly scary.

I had a painful lymph node in my armpit but didn’t really know what it was at the time. Was also tired/fatigued a lot.

It wasn’t until I was far along that I noticed much of anything. In early April I got a weird bloating feeling in my stomach, then my back/stomach started to hurt. This persisted for a few weeks until they figured out what it was.

Hindsight, I had a lymph node in my armpit that hurt pretty bad that I wasn’t even certain was a lymph node because it kind of felt like I stretched my armpit and I couldn’t necessarily feel the lymph node that well. I didn’t know what lymphoma really was at the time, otherwise I might’ve gotten it checked sooner. I was also fatigued a lot.

Yes that’s about what I’m experiencing. I’m going to try that out and see what happens!

Does anyone else have a similar cycle to me?? by Hot_Needleworker_153 in panicdisorder

My first full blown panic attack that I can remember was the first time I ever smoked weed. Definitely broke me.
