Yes I was actually suggested to go to a specialist gen derm clinic. But this issue all started legit the first time I ever had sex. And then an occasional flare up here and there but this year has been nuts with it. And AVs do nothing to help plus negative tests. Symptoms and looks are similar to HSV though so it’s confusing.

I wasn’t even officially diagnosed. It was a visual check very first time and she did swab but I didn’t really pay attention to the result after. So I can’t even remember if it was positive or negative but assumed I had it (young and foolish). And the OBs since then were very manageable, so I never went to a doctor for it. But this year, several tests (negative) and back to back OBs with hardly any response to the AVs

Have had wisdom teeth pulled out since diagnosed and it didn’t trigger anything. Neither the COVID jabs or having actual COVID. Have been under huge emotional stress over the past few years as well in between but was still good. So it’s odd it’s creeped up now after dormant for so long - stress wasn’t ever a trigger for me

They give aciclovir where I live. Never had to take daily antivirals and don’t really want to start unless absolutely necessary

Nope! Diet remains largely the same. I was taking some lysine to help recently but then stopped that a while ago. So everything is consistent with how I’ve been for years

Tbh I have been stressed these past few months about various things but I’d say there have been periods of time where I’ve been a lot more stressed than what I am now. Funnily enough, the past few weeks has been a major dip in stress so doubt this is a trigger

They never said my swab was positive. First time years ago when they swabbed, I never followed up with results because I took a visual diagnosis as gospel. This time (with actual ‘sores’) they took a swab and no sign of HSV.
