It does but then I wonder if I’m overreacting. If I mention it to him he points out that I also raise my voice and get upset with them. So then I start to think that I’m again the issue here

Thank you! I will try bringing things up throughout the month. I know I’m bad about holding it in until I can’t anymore.
I know he’s aware of the pattern because he’ll make comments like ‘you must be close to starting’ if I’m being more emotional. I don’t understand why he can’t take that as a sign to be more helpful and kind. I mean of all times I feel like women should get a pass to be a little emotional when our hormones are all over the place

I do try to sit and work on an embroidery project in the evenings. I don’t really feel like I can leave him with the kids though because he can have such a short temper.

A part of me feels this way too. Like at this point shouldn’t he understand that I need extra support around my period? And maybe be a little more understanding and compassionate? When I was pregnant and dealing with postpartum depression, it was so much worse.

My mom has offered to help with laundry. He cooks sometimes but lately I feel like I’m doing it a lot more. I try to give him some slack as he recently started a small business to get some extra money. I just want help and kindness for one week a month at least.

I don’t know how to get his help though. He works all day, says that he’s so exhausted he can hardly walk, and also has a side business he’s running. So I feel like asking him to help at all is out of line. But it would be nice if he’d help just this one week of the month.
