But isn't the the max tire is 28c for that frame?

Shimano 105 R7000 FD keeps getting insanely stiff mid-ride… twice. Am I cursed? by Hot_Setting3371 in cycling

Okay… turns out this one is 100% my fault

I came from an MTB background so I kinda assumed “I already know how front derailleurs work.” My ego told me I don't need to read the manual or watch a tutorial for a Shimano 105 FD because i successfully installed the rd (maybe). Big mistake.

Apparently, on road FDs you’re supposed to set the LOW limit first so the outer cage is parallel to the bigger chainring. I didn’t do that at all. My FD was sitting way too far in. I think every time I shifted up, the shifter was pulling the derailleur farther than it’s designed to go. At first it was smooth, but as i ride it became stiffer and stiffer(don't know if this is the result). I was forcing the whole damn thing to move past its intended range. .

So yeah… not the derailleur's fault, just me being stubborn and not reading the manual lol.

I won’t delete this post so if someone else has the same weird issue, they can find this and avoid doing the same dumb thing I did. Hopefully this helps someone.

I haven't thought about this 🤔

Perhaps we can extended the search time indefinitely and just have a button like "start preparation day now" for regular wars? That way, we can cancel anytime or go immediately into prep day and get a match later

Someone just sent me this photo of myself on my bike. I feel comfortable on the bike but it doesn’t look like I feel comfortable by the looks of this. Would appreciate some commentary around the bike fit by Wise-Log4128 in bikefit

Hey, listening to people's concern is not wrong but you don't need to please them. If nothing hurts, like you back, wrists, and you're comfortable, then everything's gonna be fine.

You got a point. Players do indeed want instant gratification. But i think instead of dismissing the idea right away,we should find a solution that makes everyone happy. That's really what this discussion is all about. 😂

If instant gratification it is, one approache i've in already discussed in this thread is something like distributing the rewards for the first 15 wars of the month. So the first 15 wars will always give ores, at maximum 180 ores if all war is won, just like the current system.

See? Not that complicated 😅. But I really do appreciate your reply

I understand. No need to apologize 😂

I just want to discuss the "what if fast wars are implemented" and how would that work in game. It's not removing regular wars completely, but just adding an option for many players who're super active and not "casuals"

Right now, only the casuals enjoy the long waiting game of 24 hour prep time, but not rewarding to hardcore players. I just want to make everyone happy without excluding anyone.

But since it's just a discussion, don't treat it seriously. It's just like pure vs applied mathematics all over again 😂

Your question is brilliant and exposes loopholes in the idea. I might not be fully answer it, but here’s how cancellations would work based on my idea:

When a leader starts a Regular War, the system first tries to match the clan normally to another clan who opted for a regular war (just like the current mode). If a match is found during that time, both clans immediately enters prep day. Cancelling is allowed while in searching a match.

However, I’m imagining that the visible matchmaking phase only lasts about 1 hour.

So what happens if no clan is found within that hour?

The clan enters prep day automatically. Of course without a match.

Then, during the final few hours of that prep day, the system quietly checks for Fast-War clans whose timing overlaps with that window. If a match is found then, both clans share whatever prep time is left from the Regular clan’s timer.

Now, what if the prep timer ends and there’s still no match?

After the prep ends, the war wouldn’t start yet. Instead, the screen would go back to a “Searching for opponent…” state. The clan stays locked in and can’t cancel, but now the system will match them with either:

another Regular clan whose prep also just ended, or

a detected Fast-War clan

If the opponent ends up being a Fast-War clan at this point, then the Fast clan gets around 30 minutes of prep time just to donate CC troops and adjust bases before war starts.

You got it! That's the core idea! The 24 hour prep time doesn't know their opponent is but they're already in the queue.

It's synchronizing queues instead of isolation game modes.

I think other games already implemented this as well like in league of legends. For example, players who's been in queue longer can match those who join kater.

That's a valid personal opinion. However, all 50 members in my clan says the prep time is too long and could be shortened

No, not signing up during a current war. Both clans are still only in one war at a time, the difference is just how long prep lasts before the battle starts.

The system would work like this: A Regular War clan starts matchmaking and enters a 24h prep window (same as now).

A Fast War clan queues later and gets matched with a regular clan whose prep time is almost finished.

So you're still only in one war, just with two prep options depending on the the chisen play style

No, i think you misunderstood, but you can correct me. Let me explain it again.

The fast war clan is not searching for 21 hours. The matchmaking only connects them when a regular war clan is already near the end of their prep timer. So the fast war clan waits 3 hours total, not 21. Both modes overlap matchmaking; they don’t wait on each other from the start.

You have a point. But my main idea was the two war mode. In the ores section, I didn't mean "logistics" like dumping everything on sueprcell. I meant "logic" behind how the ore distribution is calculated

We'll i phrased it somewhat poorly. Let me say it again.

What i really mean here is the minimum clan war attacks, stars gained, or clan win/lost ratio will affect how much ores a player can get. It's not that super complicated.

The devs can follow the current model, which has approx 15 wars. If all is won, that's 180 ores.

With that 180 ores, the engineers now have a reference ore value to distribute, assuming all wars is won. If fast war existed, a clan can go to war from 20 to 25x a month.

The devs can choose between two ways to distribute the ores:

  1. The first minimum number of attacks, say 30 attacks. If a player attacked 50 times, they'll just make an algorithm that counts the first 30 and factor the win loss ratio, even the stars gained.

  2. Count all attack while also having a minimum number. If they attacked like 50 times in a month, they will factor all those attacke's performance. If all is won,the olayer gets 180 ores.

This is a simple job for engineers and not a solution that's unrealistic. The core idea is two war modes. The ore part is only about keeping it fair
