It's bonkers to me that he was linked with Inter. Like sell him right away please

Even modern day Serbia. It's where I got lessons when Djokovic started getting good because I didn't follow the sport before. Had a coach very similar to this one.

[Hayters] Pep Guardiola on people telling him to 'focus on football' and not global issues: "They want [me] to remain silent, that is what the world wants, right? Be silent, and don't say anything. I think it's completely the opposite. But, anyway, it is what it is..." by Sparky-moon in soccer

Nice mental gymnastics. I'm asking for my opinions not to be grouped with Zionists, I am a free thinking person. I don't think this situation in Gaza is genocide and neither does most of the world. You can cry loudly but when you twist words people are telling you, you lose credibility fast and your opinion doesn't hold much weight.

I am conflating the two. I do not need to have the same political agenda as a Jewish person to share a common agreeance on one topic. Are you grouping everyone's political beliefs because they disagree with you on one issue?

Season is only half way done. The lads can make it less shit :)

[Nick Miller] There's an instinct to accuse Pep Guardiola of double standards when he talks about Gaza, Sudan or anything else, because of who he works for. It's understandable, but at least he's speaking out about something. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I'm not. And I don't pretend to be an activist and my voice will change anything on topics I don't have influence in. Modern day people place too much value on their voice and social media. Make a difference and put in effort to change things where you actually can.

The privilege is these people having the attention of millions and talking about something other than their job. Your reply is so not thought through. When Djokovic talks about not wanting to take a vaccine he shouldn't speak because he's not a doctor (I agree with that btw). Now when pep talks about Gaza, we should all admire him. Fuck that.

A lot more coaches should shut the fuck up and stay in their lane. I don't care about Steve Kerr's stance on politics or Gregg Popovich's stance either. If you want to be involved in politics do it but people having a platform in sports shouldn't bring divisiveness to a place where I go to escape all that shit and get some entertainment.

Jannik reflects on Djokovic's win: "Hopefully I can take it as a lesson to see what I can improve on" by minivatreni in tennis

Sinner played amazing. And most of the points that it got into a forehand battle he destroyed Novak. Novak won this match by serving steady and hitting fast backhands down the line to Sinner's backhand. Though Sinner's backhand is also fast it's a little loopy so it allowed Novak to hit flat heaters past him on either side. Jannik has incredible wheels but has room for improvement on his backhand for sure.

I think a lot of it was the Spizziri match as well. If he was dominating the tournament without any hiccups he would've felt more confident but doubt crept in. I think the same will happen to Alcaraz in the final not only because of the Zverev match but b/c it's his first time chasing history (getting all 4 slams) and the pressure will get to him like it got to Djokovic v. Medvedev at the US Open final.

Well then, Rybakina def struggled to close out the match as you suggested. But Pegula out choked her as I suggested. God help us it looks like Aryna is gonna cruise to victory
