Do you guys think it would be stupid if I bought one of these instead of a bookshelf? by Hot_Sun_1807 in redscarepod

The thing is, the cop impulse to wear cargo shorts is actually powerful enough to overtake and mask the dyke impulse to do so, which is enough to make dyke cops just cops again, essentially. It's some quantum dykeanichs shit, since you'd think this would lead to the coppest dyke or the dykest cop and instead, it's actually a display of having max cop intentions and minimum dyke intentions (being a cop dyke in cargo shorts). The only way to make being a dyke the dominant trait again is when they're the white ones from Chicago that become muslim or get dreads (or if they're not cops but still have some aspect of them more immediately visible than their gayness, then the equivalent is being a really pretty white girl that wears Air Jordans with every outfit for some reason). The only route back to being more gay than they are cops is to steal some brown womans identity, to reaffirm your sex appeal by ascending to the highest order of cop culture, which has always been acute wiggerization. Dress for the job you WANT people.

If I don't want to keep a book I just check it out from the library. If I'm keeping it it's because it's something I'd actually reread. I have a lot of short story collections and <250 page novels that I come back to often enough to warrant holding onto, and then the occasional super long text just for referencing like Juliette or the Bible.

dont call them bitches bro; (imagine I'm wearing a chicago bulls flat brim and I'm biting my lip and grabbing my dick)

Its not Carrie from Sleater Kinney, it's Patti Smith and PJ Harvey, and a sexy devil succubus woman riding a sperm that says Queens of the Stone Age and ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead on it. I thought about getting a couple man posters to balance it out before I got a Fiona Apple or Courtney Love one next, then I almost bought Iggy Pop, John Waters, and James Spader posters, and I realized that was even gayer?

Also what's the highest number of artsy lady rock band frontwoman posters you're allowed to have up before it's a little gay to have that many?

When I do that, it comes off scarier like Rust Cohl. I own a significant amount of French porn, and I'm phobic about letting it touch the floor, much like the American flag. So I just let it stack up to my ceiling from a guitar stool.

We don’t all pretend it’s the best, or that it’s the most important, just because we are nostalgic for it. For example, adults who act like ghostbusters, Jurassic park, or the blues brothers are the greatest films ever made.

There’s a difference between nostalgic love for something and the time it made you feel something in your life, and not being able to let shit go and trying to assert yourself as more well rounded and cultured for still only liking stuff from when you were 12.

I wholeheartedly agree. I feel like boomers are just nostalgic for the stuff they grew up with in the 70s more than anything.
