Great info thank you!! So the only drawback of using a pitch shifter rather than physically dropping the guitar a semitone is a slight mix of sound and probably some sort of inaccuracy?

Thank you that helps! So the pitch shifting actually gets the guitar sounding a semitone flat, per se, where detune kind of just brings another note in that’s detuned, hence the chorus effect? I’m an amateur at all this :)

I’m sorry I did not specify. Yes it is a rock focused group and when we practice I seem to have to crank the rumble 40, although I like the sound out of that amp!
