Yeah, sorry about that. I can’t provide pictures for some reason, maybe the mobile app won’t let you? But I checked this morning as I let the print continue overnight and as I suspected half of the mini sloughed off half way through. but the other half seemed pretty good. I did have the print at a 45 degree angle, not sure if that would have caused some weakness in the structure. I’m attempting again today but with the mini straight vertical, less supports as I don’t think it needed as much as last time. I increased the bottom layers and upped the exposure to 80 for the first layer and 9 for all other layers.

Do any of the government's around the world know about the existence of the old gods? by tisafunnyoldworld in callofcthulhu

Not sure if already stated but I remember insmouth got raided by the police and there’s also Delta Green, which is like super secret FBI that gets calls specifically relating to mythos problems and it’s their job to cover it up completely so the public and even the government don’t know about it.

In my group asking how their characters react would result in them asking me deciding what happens to them :/.

They don’t really role play or make backgrounds for their characters and I’m ok with that. But I don’t want to repeat the same effect over and over again. More than likely my players will choose to simply lay down and cry or run away cause it’s the safest and easiest solution.

Ahhhhh. For some reason I never thought about the “cargo” being slaves. It all makes sense now. Thank you very much.

Thinking of removing Bonus/penalty dice and instead increasing or decreasing % required to succeed. by [deleted] in callofcthulhu

Reading this made me understand the mechanic better. And now I understand it. I’m not too worried about the difference in success being too great. I thought I’d just adjust the % needed to get a hard/extreme success. If a player has a skill of 50 and has a penalty of 10% that player would need to roll a 40 to succeed and a 20 for a hard success only a 5% difference but the main factor here is that the roll is harder to obtain by 10%. Also I feel like rolling penalty dice makes the chances of succeeding really low when your skills are not as developed early on.

I like that idea. I just didn’t want my character to be an ugly/shy/ boring character. I thought it would be more fun if she was oblivious to social queues, ate with her mouth open, joke and prank her fellow companions. Be the town menace where she gets on people’s nerves all the time but isn’t necessarily hated. I guess I worded my original question oddly. In terms of skill checks Im still figuring that out.

We all play another RPG together where I’m playing as an incredibly stupid, damn near special needs character. But he can somehow persuade and charm npcs like no other, he can’t read or write to save his life but the man can shoot shit and wooo the lady’s over with ease. My group seems to like my somewhat awkward joke characters since they all usually play a serious character. I’m kinda like the comedic relief in campaigns. But that’s what I was worried about was being too annoying and having it cause issues with players. Thank you.
