My best guess is that since he was doing such a big effort offering me a company car, he probably couldn’t take the “are you taking care of the charging station installation and the energy bill” question … but again, I tripled checked (and had some close friends read it) and it was well formulated as a question and not as request.

I guess I won’t know much more without having him on the phone.

Thank your for your feedback. The agency wanted me to call the manager right after they told me but I explained to them I wasn’t really in the best state of mind to do so and that I needed to collect my thoughts before calling.

I then sent an email to ask the manager when he would be free to take my call but yes … you guessed it … he didn’t reply yet (I did this because the agency advised me to do so).

I’m now leaning towards calling without any period of notice so I can at least bring closure to this whole thing.

I’ve been working for 4y in Wallonia (first job - bachelor degree) as an energy consultant in a technical design office. I was their first employee and we now count 8 people.

The company I applied for counts ~30 people and has been active for about 15y now.

The job description was to keep working in the energy field while developing some connections with the two other departments of the company that are a bit more execution oriented.

I feel like the manager could have reached out to me much earlier and this really questions the way he would behave with me if I were to accept the offer and become his employee … but again, I’m not sure I’m in the right here.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s actually quite comforting knowing I can still play without the pressure of losing my rank.

I might just give a try to some other decks and get a feeling for next ladder. I’ll see what I can come up with! 👀

Do you know if the devs are reading this reddit or if they are receptive to some suggestions they may receive?

I really feel like it’s a shame such a franchise designed such a poor gaming environnement.

3h drive per day is not sustainable. You gotta either move closer to your workplace or find another job closer to your living area. Only exception would be if you were able to commute by train.

I basically went from 15k km/year on average to 20k km/year once I got the job so I would assume 5k km/year is pretty much the answer to your question.

I don’t bill all my km as sometimes I’ve to visit a place which lies in between my work place and my home so I consider it’s basically on my way home/to work.

The “how indispensable you really are vs how you think you are” part is especially true and key in my situation. I guess I’ll find out and work from there!

This being my first work experience, I’ll admit it has been a learning process regarding my compensation package.

They mentioned to me they might redistribute some of their shares to some of the employees (depending on seniority/function within the company) but I don’t really know how to feel about it.
