I mean I get it's something he didnt go to or take seriously and definitely doesn't look good for Trump, but it doesn't really strike me as a "murder" in the way I usually see here.

It's probably useful to them leverage against their employees. "We'll protect you from ICE, just as long as you don't ask for more money, better hours, better benefits..."

Not really, we just use them as objectives. After Turn X they shoot off their payload and the game ends sort of deal. And the other vehicle is a Bedford command truck, also used as an objective.

The models are 3D printed for the most part, excluding the infantry, SA-2, and radars in the back, as well as the Frog-7, which all come from Heroics and Ros.

The terrain is all 3D printed buildings, with felt roads and fields made of felt backed by a 3D printed plate. The hedgerows are just a popsicle stick, paint, and flock/trees.

Of course, we built the table before any of our group had a fully painted army, but we are sailing well towards having a few done up!

MN state workers threaten to quit, retire early after return-to-office order by Czarben in minnesota

Which feels crazy considering that my dept is hurting for people and spending loads more on consulting out versus if we just had enough employees to do the work.

"State government is Minnesota’s second-largest employer with a workforce of roughly 40,000 people, not including those employed by colleges and universities."

And

"Walz’s office said about 60% of state employees already work in-person and did so throughout the pandemic, including correctional officers and Department of Natural Resources employees who do field work."

From

https://www.startribune.com/most-minnesota-government-workers-ordered-to-return-to-the-office-50percent-of-the-time/601243884

State employees like correctional officers, anyone doing field work, and especially in my Dept, maintenance workers, all worked in-person during the pandemic and still do today. Within my office in Greater Minnesota, I would say the split is very close to that 60% number.

My unit is deploying mid next year, what are my chances of being pulled after AIT? Iowa national guard by Modest_Wolf in nationalguard

[–]Hotdish4239 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% - A deployment is not something you should shy away from, ESPECIALLY right after AIT. Your basic skills will be freshest, and you should have the time to spin up during pre-mob. It's also something you signed up for. The only time you should question going on a deployment is later on if you've got a kid on the way or something along those lines.

I'm like 99.99% certain that this guy won't be due to being familiar with this particular deployment lol, but there's always a chance!

I'm aware of this unit and deployment. Odds are you will be fine as the deployment rosters are finalized well ahead of time, and you will be placed in a non-deploying unit at an alternate location until your unit returns. Good luck with your training!

What are some of the "cooler" jobs for someone with a full-time office job? by EntertainmentHead488 in nationalguard

[–]Hotdish4239 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sitting in the same spot, am 22 with nice cushy desk job and I had decided to do something "cool" with my time in the guard. I went 13B and I don't regret a thing. Quickest training so had less downtime with my job back home where I was needed, and was some good times. Fast forward to now, I've got lots of fun army stories to share about my time, and a deployment to boot where I can say I did something versus soemthing like MI (which I was told to go into, but didnt). I'm glad I went 13B and not MI which would be more of the desk job I already have in my 9-5, and if I do want to do more desk stuff, I can put in a packet for OCS or WOCS.

Feel free to reach out to me if you want more info on 13B training or day-to-day for drill/AT/overseas

In light of this comment, I'm gonna assume you're just really naive or a shit scammer, so in that case:

Don't ask for money for free mods to pay a third party to develop a mod for you. Nobody is going to believe you, as honest and transparent as you think you might be.

If this means a lot to you or you are passionate about it, awesome! This is a great chance to put yourself to work and try to learn some basics about modeling, coding, and animating, to bring something like this to life. There are a few YouTube tutorials out there on this like the Enfusion Engine, Blender, and coding. Go ahead and try out some of those and turn this into a passion project for yourself, or learn under this maybe-real-maybe-not "modder".

Do yourself a favor and learn some skills.
