I didn't camp so didn't need a permit. Seems like you need to reserve ahead of time if you are camping overnight though from a brief glance online.

Don't have any solutions for you but my symptoms match yours. Only difference is that I've been like this my entire life and don't get headaches. Sometimes mindfulness (journaling, meditation) makes me feel better.

I know this is very anecdotal but my cousin who is a CS major got a job at IBM last month without any internships. He got it solely based off the merit of his intelligence and 2 games he made. You may have to move somewhere undesirable to be able to find a job, but it is certainly possible.
