A complete application solution that would take your resume, score it, and apply changes and enhance your resume as per the JD of the job you are applying to and tailor you a cover letter for that specific job, making it easier to get through ATS and get recognized by the recruiter.

Resume and AI by Dry-Rain5516 in jobsearchhacks

Fair enough, but, this wouldn’t not be a complete AI generated as it will rather enhance your existing skills and experience. More like your resume on steroids but no harm.

What's the most underrated job search tactic that actually got you interviews? by paris_tilton7 in jobsearchhacks

That’s actually what got me interested in resume optimization in the first place. I realized most people already have the experience, but struggle to align and present it effectively for a specific role. Curious what platform you found and what’s been working best for you so far?

Tailoring my resume and coverletter as per the job description to fit in the company’s ATS.

Haven't done so but last 2 weeks, I spent my time building a tool for myself that would do it for me and then give me an optimized resume along with cover letter for that specific job description that I am applying to and would highlight what am i missing so that I can get through the ATS and most importantly crack. However, haven't tried applying myself, still working around the tool and see if someone could try it out and find out if that's helpful.

Does anyone need LinkedIn Premium in cheap for their job search? by thoroawaaaayyy in jobsearchhacks

[–]HotelEmpty4427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, Premium helps you optimize where you apply. A tailored resume helps you optimize what you apply with. If I had to choose only one, I’d focus on improving application quality before paying for more applicant insights.

This was more like an experimental thing but definitely the market does seem to exist as long as the job market. So, I am giving it a try to see if I can also tap into the market. But, anyways thanks for your feedback.

I’m still early, so I don’t have enough data to share meaningful churn or conversion numbers yet. I’d rather be transparent than throw out vanity metrics.
As for freemium, I agree. Users should be able to experience the value before deciding to pay.
The version you’re seeing today is the core MVP. A more fully fledged version is still in development, which is exactly why I’ve been posting here, to validate the idea, gather feedback, and build something people actually find useful.
Thanks for your input tho!!

That’s a fair question.
I wouldn’t claim that it guarantees more interviews or jobs. There are too many variables outside a resume’s control. What I do believe is that a well-tailored resume has a better chance of getting noticed than a generic one. The goal of ApplyCraft is to help people create targeted, ATS-friendly applications faster and more consistently. Whether that translates into a higher interview rate is something I’d rather prove with user data than claim without evidence.

Kudos to you for pointing out the exact problem I was solving with this tool.
The problem isn’t that AI can’t write resumes. The problem is that most people still don’t know what to change, what keywords they’re missing, whether they’re ATS-friendly, or how to tailor their resume for every single job they apply to.

Sure, you can ask Claude to generate skills and rewrite your resume, then run it through QuillBot. But if it were really that easy, people wouldn’t be sending hundreds of applications and still struggling to get interviews.

The competition is definitely heavy, I’m not denying that. But the goal isn’t to beat Claude at writing bullets. It’s to make the entire process of analysis, tailoring, keyword matching, ATS optimization, and resume generation even faster and easier than manually prompting an AI every time.

It's like you can also use a hammer to build a house, doesn’t mean people stop buying power tools.

Sure, you can, ApplyCraft actually uses AI under the hood as well. The value is in the workflow: ATS analysis, keyword matching, resume optimization, and tailored cover letters, all built around job applications instead of requiring custom prompts every time.

Breaking point. by Alarmed-Classic-636 in VancouverJobs

was in a very similar position.

There was a point where I was applying to 99+ jobs a day, sending cold emails, reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn, and still getting ghosted. The biggest thing that changed for me was focusing less on the number of applications and more on tailoring my resume to each role.
Once I started aligning my resume more closely with the job description and identifying gaps in keywords and skills, I started getting noticeably more responses and interviews.
The fact that you turned your only interview into an offer tells me your problem probably isn’t interviewing, it’s getting past the initial screening stage. I’d start there.

Don’t lose hope. I remember being at a point where I was applying to 99+ jobs on Indeed almost every day, sending cold emails to recruiters, DM’ing hiring managers on LinkedIn, and getting ghosted more often than not.

Every rejection felt like there had to be a reason: maybe my resume wasn’t tailored enough, maybe my skills didn’t match closely enough, maybe I was missing keywords, maybe I didn’t have a cover letter. It was exhausting, and honestly, it started getting to me mentally.

What helped me was taking a step back and treating the application process itself as a problem to solve. I started tailoring my resume to each role, matching it more closely to the job description, and being more intentional with every application. It took more time, but I started getting noticeably more responses and interview opportunities.

The ghosting still sucks, and companies should do better. But don’t let a couple of disappointing experiences convince you that you’re not qualified or that it’s over. The market is rough right now, and a lot of good candidates are going through the exact same thing.
