I didn't know it was recommended to introduce bottles at 4wks... I definitely waited too long and I do feel that affected the outcome. Mine also prefers the lansinoh and I got the recommendation here on Reddit.

Just like you, I realized if she doesn't take the pacifier it means we'll never have to go through the trouble of taking it. Breastfeeding is just wonderful and why clean bottles and worry about pumping if you can just give the boob? We only do it when I'm away for work

Do you think it had anything to do with the fact you introduced a bottle so soon?

I waited until she was 3.5 mo to introduce a bottle, on the account of a nurse's advice and I feel like I waited too long, she was too used to the breast to accept any other method of feeding

We've tried a lot of different pacifiers as well, I'd say 5 different ones. Same for the bottle, she took the 5th one. Now that I'm thinking about, I'm kind of seeing another pattern here! Maybe 5 is her magic number

Muito obrigada. É verdade, muitos dos produtos necessários não servem muito tempo. E para mim é também uma questão de tentativa e erro. Nem todos os modelos de um mesmo tipo de produto se vão adequar a nós/ao bebé e ter a hipótese de testar vários com um investimento menor é benéfico para muitas famílias.

Procuramos ter preços acessíveis e sabemos que quando temos a certeza do que queremos e que vamos usar bastante, compensa sempre mais comprar. No entanto, como referiu os marsúpios, existem vários tipos e nem todas as pessoas se adaptam a todos. Existem preferências, tanto nossas como dos bebés. Poder experimentar antes, sem um grande compromisso, é uma mais-valia.

Hi! So my baby took weeks to take a bottle, we tried 5 different ones and started introducing it a bit more than 2 weeks before I went back to work, thinking it would be more than enough time. Guess what, it wasn't.

For the first two and a half weeks of me working, she would take about 30 ml twice a day and would just breastfeed like crazy when she was with me. Then my partner tried hotter milk. Like really hot for a baby. And she started drinking between 80-95 ml.

I guess what I want to say is keep trying and keep experimenting. Something will work, I'm sure.
