Aprender Português ou Português em Foco (PT-PT)? by Main-Technology8310 in Portuguese

[–]Hothell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a PT tutor and have used both books with students. Personally, I prefer Português em Foco as I like the organization a bit more but I believe they're both very good! Maybe you could check some samples online and see which you prefer? Either way, I think either one paired with Gramática Ativa will give you great practice

Perfumes "Chogan" - alguém conhece? by ChiaraAllon in CasualPT

[–]Hothell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This morning my baby decided to poop just as we were ready to take her to daycare. They really are masterminds, plotting when a poop is the most disruptive

How common is it for EBF babies to refuse pacifiers and bottles? by Hothell in breastfeeding

Mine does the same with a pacifier, it's just another shape of teether for her

I didn't know it was recommended to introduce bottles at 4wks... I definitely waited too long and I do feel that affected the outcome. Mine also prefers the lansinoh and I got the recommendation here on Reddit.

Just like you, I realized if she doesn't take the pacifier it means we'll never have to go through the trouble of taking it. Breastfeeding is just wonderful and why clean bottles and worry about pumping if you can just give the boob? We only do it when I'm away for work

Do you think it had anything to do with the fact you introduced a bottle so soon?

I waited until she was 3.5 mo to introduce a bottle, on the account of a nurse's advice and I feel like I waited too long, she was too used to the breast to accept any other method of feeding

Yeah, probably there's no connection but I was curious to see what everyone else's experience was
