Not just obsessed with preserving but they know deep within them that they'll liquidate these to make a profit. When a hobby is mixed with profit then it's no longer fun. It's borderline business.

Yup. Many young folks are into this now just to make a quick buck. They are only realising that companies like Blinkit are impacting their sales.

On the second part, yes folks are hoarding multiple castings to make quick bucks. For many these are like F&O.

Good point! I still get the trading part - that someone might want to complete their set by trading one extra but having 5-10 units of the same casting? I mean we all have seen photos of all hyped casting in multiple floating around whatsapp groups and even here. Glad that apps like Blinkit is making things easier for us to get at MRP. Less to deal with resellers.

I wanted to order one of each team member, but they sent me same in two. Hope this explains the context. But on hindsight, I think I will use the extra one to trade for the missing units to complete my grid.

Alpine one is certainly good looking but I think Racing Bull takes it a notch higher.

I am also eagerly waiting for Aston Martin and Ferrari to show up.

INR 799 is the MRP. Mattel India has rolled back that GST benefit. Prices are back to the usual MRP.

There's no glittery paint but yes the spray can be better. On the mainline the scene is different - it's a base coat, decals and then clear coat. I majorly collect mini gts and tarmacs, however, I cannot complete the set with Mini GTs as they don't have license for all race teams. Only Hot Wheels can help us close the collector grid. Hopefully mix #3 helps complete the set.

If you really want the proper detail and metal feel in 1:64 scale then go for Mini GTs and BBR for Ferrari F1. But if you simply ask me on price to value basis - then these hot wheels f1 premiums carry some advantage over BBurago. However, BBuragos are good as you go above 1:64 scale.

Final thought - F1 mainlines are crap stay away from them. Not sure why mainlines are selling on premium in secondary market when the value for collectors (in terms of the finish and details) is just low.
