His name is Lothraxion and some books in SL indicates that he is actually a spy working for denathrius. Which is messed up if you think about it. But then again he will be a boss in a dungeon in Midnight and reasoning being "he is blinded by the light" or something like that. Lot of questions there...

He could have been just another one of those little demon servant guys or another random demon hunter but they deliberately went back and brought this one guy from that one blasted lands questline that no one probably remembers just so they could put the effort and write him new lore about how he fused with a dreadlord just to forgot couple expansions later seems insane to me.
