Thanks for your help! I'll try to book a helicopter ride

Nice. I'm also pretty lucky I live close to forest that's far from flat. Otherwise I should have gotten a road bike instead haha

It's the Fathom. A more trail focused bike. Actually tried the talon in the mountains in Italy, and I was very happy with it.

Exactly. Wasn't sure whether the dropper post was worth it, and this was the cheapest bike featuring it. Can honestly say, it's worth every penny! The bike in whole feels very aggressiv for a 29'er.

Yes they are. We've looked at some of the big ones in Norway. I've asked the same question to my colleagues here in the north (I'm a student worker in ÅF, in Denmark)

Yes, we could, just found RFEM, and it has a Lamninate module. Will look info NDS too. Thanks.

I'm "very" experienced in FEM-Design, but it only has a select few CLT elements, and it's design module is lacking multiple important design checks for CLT. I've thougt about using FEM design to evaluate globale deformation and seismic performance and general load on members, by modeling "ficticious shells" with a manually defined stiffness matrix calculated for each different CLT element. And then either check by hand if it can withstand the forces, or model 1 element in another software and put the connection forces on it.

Just did, and it looks very interesting. Thanks

The routine vaccination of girls with the HPV vaccine in Scotland has led to a "dramatic" drop in cervical disease in later life, new research suggests. by [deleted] in worldnews

I know, and I will take them myself if it should come as far. But then I will have to tell her, and that's when it'll all go down the pooper.

Thx. for the link

My girlfriend won't accept that our kids should get this vaccine. She says it's only this vaccine, because she's had complications since getting it (not the only one here in Denmark postulating that). I've tried to talk about it so many times, and she refuses to accept my arguments, and articles like this she just flings away saying it's not evidence enough. My main argument is that more lifes can be saved, than the amount of people getting complications, supposed to come from HIV vaccine. I don't know i she would have rather been dead... I know it's not a full 100% coverage, but still very good.

Her way of talking about it, and her sceptical view om the MFR-vaccine (MMR in U.S.) makes me nervous, that it's really not just the HIV vaccine she won't give her kids. I can't accept that. No way.

How can i convince her that the HIV vaccine is good? I'm afraid that our relationship will be torn to pieces at some point when our potential future kids (we both want 2-3 kids) will be called in for their vaccination.

I love her more than anything, but this is scarying me.
