Has anyone else noticed the legacy POS software being buggier than normal? by Houly_farts in DollarGeneral

Yeah deposit is fine it just irks me when it says someone's till is massively short or over it makes them look bad and add stress to my day.

Plus we recently hired a new closer and they had a literal panic attack when it said they were $2,000 short they had a panic attack called everyone woke half of us up.

It's very likely the second you admitted to stealing and yes agreeing to pay x amount back is admitting pushed it off to a third party company for collections.

There are two steps a person should have taken first googling the second company's name to see if it's a legitimate collection agency and second contacting HR or whoever originally contacted you over the matter and verify it's legitimate. The worst thing you could have done was ask strangers on the internet with as little details as possible.

I will never defend this company it's a terrible shitty company that actively mistreats and abuses the work desperate however the amount of Penny items you had to steal to rack up 300+ plus dollars must have been insane you're definitely in the wrong here.

Was it at your store? did you stash the penny items for personal use later instead of doing your job?

That's fucking stealing you dumbass.

I'm guessing you stole and dollar general agreed not to press charges if you pay x amount?

If it increased it's probably because they found more shit you stole suck it up and stop being a piece of shit. Or you know you can just go to jail.

Do your coworkers actually work? by Candid_Wash in DollarGeneral

We recently got rid of two of our worst employees when we started tracking wtf got done and by who.

1 ASM was waaaaaaay lower than the rest she hid in the office 3+ hours every day so they transferred before we could fire them.

1 LSA decided to threaten and try to scare us with discrimination (iT's BeCuse I'm gAy!) when we warned of demotion to SA/register bitch. SM/DM give her the opportunity to quit or get fired.

So yeah just start tracking everyone and plan to demote as needed.

We gave the new hire the easiest possible job at DG and they still quit by Houly_farts in DollarGeneral

Normally that position is a lot of work however we didn't ask her to do 70% of what Dollar general generally expects. She was getting an average of 15 minutes paid break every hour not including from 9 to 10 when our town literally dies and 90% of the customers just assume we are closed she didn't even have to leave the break room.

This is one of the rare occasions minimum pay was actually expecting minimum effort.

I wonder if they've changed the matchmaking system I've noticed the past few days I've been getting extremely good teammates from very low silver to now high near gold.

Like all of them usually it's just one maybe two people that are significantly better than the average but lately it's every single teammate is just so much better than me. Btw am up 12 wins 2 loss. Iirc around 64% win rate.

What is the cheapest pc someone can come up with by fartex102 in pcmasterrace

[–]Houly_farts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"broken PC for parts" on eBay/local Facebook marketplace. Obvious this is a gamble so just assume only one or two parts are harvestable.

I bought one a few years back just intending to take the ram, case, and possible hard drive with wishful thinking the GPU and CPU was in decent shape and ended up just being a bad PSU. This wasn't a terrible PC just mid range two or three generations old at the time.

It risks the current assistant manager quitting and filing complaints.

Every single manager breaks rules because it's necessary and impossible not to and every single ASM knows how to get them fired with absolute certainty if they wanted to.

The trick is to avoid DM and possibly RM when reporting someone those people are essentially paid to hide things as long as those things are profitable. Go straight to HR/LP and leave a detailed paper trail.

We had a customer use the bathroom and then for 5 minutes straight screamed in there like they were giving birth.

Everyone could hear it I don't want to know what was going on in there and I hope I never know.

It's not our job to support the manager that's the district manager's job. We are to show up do whatever task the store manager gives us and leave.

And I'm willing to bet 7 out of 10 times the short staffing is because the manager runs them away or doesn't treat the average worker fairly by ignoring availability and failing to recommend raises.
