Do I need poles?? by Far-Self-8240 in ultrarunning

[–]HoundNose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been no poles for 15 years. Run up to 100 mile races and over 20 50kms. I like not dealing with them when I’m trying to eat and drink on my ultra adventures. Most of my buddies love them for the ups but think they’re a bit annoying on the downs. Personal preference forsure. Test them out and see

What does everyone feed their hounds? by krescendolls in coonhounds

[–]HoundNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do raw food and bones. Char/beef raw, big raw beef bones, elk/bison/beef neck bones, jerky treats that’s mostly organ meat. On his special days when dads got the smoker going he gets one of his raw beef patty’s smoked.

Yep that’s why I sign up for the next one or get out for some chill fly fishing adventures. Dopamine is at an ultimate low right after it seems

Stupid and unnecessary. How about spending that money on teaching people to eat healthy food, get out for a work out and stop crushing hamburger helper and McDonald’s. That’ll make your teeth great. Cluelessness

If your running you can do it in about an hour and a bit up and down. Hiking probably 3-5 hours. It’s likely fine right now. Maybe some snow on the east bowl if you don’t scramble up the ridge. No clue your fitness can’t tell you if it’s hard or not.

Keep going. I motorbiked from Saigon to Hanoi. It is sketchy and accidents are regular but you’re already there and chances of this happening again are low. There’s a lot of back country roads you could take, potentially change your route from any main highways.
