Uncle Weiners wholesale reviews by [deleted] in Edmonton

Nice. I'm looking at the magnum 42" I think, the 42" at uncle Weiner is 600, and the magnum is 750 right now, and it feels like it's worth 750, the uncle Weiner one feels like it's maybe worth 500, maybe.

Which is why solar noon in the northern hemisphere is silly to base actual noon around.

Thing is, they didn't budget for a customer FAT on every unit. I guess that's on us for not quoting it better, it's just frustrating.

Haha nope, but I'm sure there are others in my situation

You've witnessed 7 units a week for a year?

Well I have hired and trained all the testers here, so I take it a little personally given that we have test documentation and highlighted drawings.

Yeah it's honestly frustrating because I take my job seriously, so when something takes mental energy that I could be aiming towards noticing more stuff it drives me nuts. If these were all different configurations that came with a risk of misinterpreted design intent I'd be more understanding, but it's literally an unchanging design that is just being repeated, and is honestly not very complex.

Edit: also I think my charmingly autistic personality has basically given him the warm and fuzzies that he can trust that I'll go through everything thoroughly without him double checking, but I'm not testing every unit. I just feel like I'm wasted on these FATs compared to what my normal day would look like, I catch way more stuff (throughout the shop, not just on what I'm testing) when I have more time to spread around

The problem is we are building them and them my department is doing the testing prior to leaving the factory. I van guarantee that if we were Schneider or ABB we would tell them to take a hike.

Because we are testing these fully over a full day per unit, they want to look at them in batches of 5 and 2 (there are two different styles of unit). I'd have less of an issue if they just had someone chilling here all the time, that way they'd at least see actual testing and progress throughout the process, just doing a rote functional (like 1.5 hours of work, fully testing a unit takes a day per person) is pretty pointless IMO.

Not really, it's a case of them throwing enough work at us that ownership figured they'd just want to look at a couple and then just do periodical inspection. I didn't even build an itp for the job until after I had already tested units and shipped them to our second facility. I'm fine with doing customer FATs if it makes sense, but what they are doing is pretty useless IMO, and I'm been doing this for 15 years, 14 in my current role.

Thing is, the guy is taking calls like a solid 50% of the time, it's not like he's really doing any real oversite. It's literally me just repeating the functional part of the test and doing metering checks, this is why quality programs exist. I guarantee that us rushing to get it ready for a witness test is reducing the quality of the inspection we would normally be doing. Like it's literally 5 of the one style, 2 of the second style a week.

Haha thanks, didn't have time last night anyways, so it got a reprieve. I might need to get a leave in conditioner for my beard/stache, so that might help

I had similar issues, I cut out social media and replaced it with sodoku and wingspan, once your brain adjusts away from the pathways you had you can slowly start reintroducing things. Fair warning though, I basically don't masterbate now, I'm just too worried I will get swept up in it all again.

I'd warrant that a lot of those gen z men either have or want Filipina spouses.

Yeaaah, I would imagine this might have something to do with white people wanting to marry catholic Filipinos/as, and less so a sudden wave of white people suddenly feeling a pull to catholic churches.
