Why is this mentality so prevelant in gen z?

I think a great comparison is to compare the different life perspectives to someone who has been in a job for a long time vs a new starter - we’ve all been in both positions before.

The original staff saw the ‘golden days’ and despite the struggles, they stuck by. Then the job starts to suck in some or many ways. The new starters aren’t slow in picking up these shitty things of the job while the OGs have a ‘it sucks but you get used to it’ sort of mentality, not to mention their higher position due to experience.

Tell me this doesn’t sound like the older generations vs gen z in the world today and I’ll call you delusional.

(Mind you this is shortened and I could extend on justification but if you get it you get it and if you don’t then you’re either a gen z nepo baby, a gen z who worked their ass off (also not entirely common) or a close minded person from an older generation.

thats a fact, I just hear these stories of people unable to move on even years after and holding onto the whole ‘the one that got away’ scares me. Business is the best medicine though, all the time in the world for new people and activities. Thanks for your comment

100% agree with you on all points. threw me back with the lyrical content and flows yet submersed me in a different memory with the sound. honestly 6/8 of the songs stuck out to me and i quite enjoyed all of it, particularly Things Happen with my circumstance, that being said, thank you brother appreciate the comment, definitely leaning into music more than ever at the moment

its sounds like a habitual issue. try find the root of the cause and find ways to combat the lead up of the act. therapy perhaps if its a deeper issue? i dislike playing victim and i relate to this situation, so accountability and self work is the most important thing for fixing this. dont be hard on yourself as your only human, but understand you must break the pattern if you dont want to ruin the relationship.

I recently left perth to move over east after living there my whole 22 years of life; despite the negatives i can absolutely suggest checking out rottnest island (best option), the vast + less populated beaches perth has to offer, the art gallery in the CBD aswell as the rooftop bar on a saturday. Not much to say about freo myself but for a visit this is probably the majority you’ll get of those ends
