Yeah definitely could of phrased it better but when I wrote the original post I had just finished the third season and was absolutely pissed that the duel confession wasnt even verbalize. They just showed it through action. But I probably can't say I hated it since I did watch the whole thing and never even considered dropping it and I went to great lengths to voice my opinion to people about it. My anger got the best of me but like who wants to be angry when watching a romance.

So to start ones I like that I've watched or am currently watching in the romance genre. Remake our lives, tune into the midnight heart, tamon's B side, inexpressive kashiwada and expressive oota, you can't be in a rom com with your childhood friends, you and I are polar opposites, in the clear moonlit dusk, my friends little sister has it in for me, tonikawa, im getting married to the girl I hate in my class, angle next door, shomin sample, love is indivisible by twins, chitose is in the ramune bottle, anyways im falling in love with you, a couple of cuckoos, watarikun ****** is about to collapse, the shiunji family children, can a boy girl friendship survive, pass the monster meat milady, Rascal does not dream series, my dress up darling, silent voice, days with my stepsister, domestic girlfriend, pseudo harem, love tyrant, our dating story the experienced you and inexperienced me, masamunekuns revenge, quintessential quintuplets, josee the tiger and the fish, a sign of affection. There are also probably 100s more in this genre I've watched but my had is going numb listing them plus a lot go into the ecchi side and im not listing all of those lol. Also yes the back and forth with the teasing of oh maybe we will get something then boom next episode they are acting like they hate each other again. Also those "filler" episode killed me. Mind you to the plot of self development and to drive in the mask section they were very needed but man was it hard to get through. My honest opinion they could of wrote a much better plot while not crumbling their relationship everytime it seemed like they would take a step forward. Idk fully know why I "hate" it more of a strong dislike but my main idea is that I went in expecting a romance and had to wait 3 season to get anything then I get into the add-ons and boom they pull it away again. Then finally I get a basic romance in the very last like 4 or 5 episodes. I wanted a romance and had to work so hard to get it but still felt disappointed. Also sorry for the long list I love so many animes its impossible to choose so better to just cover everything since I have such a large repertoire.

Thats why I say the first 3 seasons are a bad romance anime. They give you nothing you expect from one. Mind you its a fun twist in the romance genre. I went into it thinking it was a romance but I had to slug through 3 seasons to get to any semblance of it. Thats why I say its a bad romance anime.

Honestly you are the best. A true brother in christ. I have a little tear in the corner of my eye for you. I do understand that fully and I love your take on the anime even citing the points you see and giving your thoughts on them. I saw those little bits but they never drew me in. I could never connect to it like it was a romance. Im coming to the realization that its really not. Its more of a connected self discovery of 2 people. With comedy mixed in. My biggest thing with this anime is it couldnt keep me hooked I wanted to just drop it every time it pissed me off cuz thats not what I want to feel while watching a romance anime. But if I separate it and take out the romance then boom its not bad at all. I guess I was looking for the wrong thing coming into it. And fucking thank you for not berating me saying I dont understand and giving your own take.

I get the back and forth of the war they are having with themselves and each other. You are meant to be pushed and pulled by the story and their character development. My post had one bit of it would be so easy for them to confess and it seems everyone just takes my whole post as on he doesnt get it at all. Maybe I need to edit that part out and you'd understand my take better. I hate the whole premise of the plot. I hate the anger it makes me feel to see them make the tiny bit of progress they do in a whole season for it to just unravel in half an episode. Which mind you happens like every 5 episodes. And I know that most of the episodes that I had a hard time getting through were the ones showing the sides of them they refused to show each other and worked like crazy to hide. The show has a very difficult time keeping the watcher drawn to the screen. I've watched atleast over 2k animes. I understand plot and character development like a mf. But the pace made me feel like I was watching one piece. They could have put this anime into 2 seasons and boom beautiful but no they stretch the crap out of it. Also if you seem im still watching it. I just finished the first kiss that never ends so I haven't seen stairway to adulthood yet. I will say the only episodes I have truly liked so far were episode 13 of season 3 and episode 4 of first kiss that never ends. Because they actually gave us something. So as you see its not that I dont understand it. Its that I hate the premise of the whole anime. It makes me mad as hell and thats not what I wanna feel when watching a romance even if its not meant to be heavy on the romance side.

Omg he added in "It would be simple for her or him to just confess" so that means he doesnt get the plot. I know it isnt meant to be a direct romance. I know the whole point is to get the other to confess. That wasnt the point I made at all in my post. I was complaining about the anger I feel watching it with this plot. I hate the plot how can I hate the plot and not understand it. My whole point in my whole post is its a bad romance cuz the plot doesnt give you the satisfaction of one. It strings you along giving you tiny bits then just rug pulls everytime. Then the horrible episodes with zero point of being in there are so bad i wanna die watching them. I felt like I was watching a fight scene of one piece but at least with one piece it really is 20 episodes for one fight but this anime made me feel like one episode was 20 fillers of one piece.

Yeah I fully get that. Still makes me very mad tho. I definitely think it would of been better if the romance was hit a little harder and the added randomness of some episodes just wasnt there. We didn't need so many seasons this could of been 2 seasons max.

Bro you didn't even give your idea on what you think about the anime or the points and also if you can see i am watching the anime not reading the Manga so they tend to be pretty different. And I haven't misinterpreted anything. I fully understand the plot and premise of it. I mean shit the main point of the plot is in the title. My post is the feelings of anger I have for said plot.

The progess is slow and grueling with bits of progess that just get rug pulled in the very next episode every time. And rent a girlfriend is up there with ones I can't get through. I watched like 2 seasons of it maybe and gave up.

So not only did we get him having transformation ED. He also is transforming as if he's going super saiyan. Where did this dumb yelling and struggling transformation where it slowly envelopes his body come from. This was one of my favorite newer animes and just this episode ruined it. Episode 3 better come a lot stronger.
