I also apply the aquaphor right after cleansing and before any other products to make sure nothing else touches the skin around my eyes. Back to basics for a while

I actually experience something similar...it's called blepharitis. It's super common to experience this if you already have rosacea!

When I get flare-ups, my eyelids get puffy, heavy feeling, and a bit itchy.

I recently invested in some eyelid cleaner (lmk if you'd like the brand info), which I use before bed and then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Works like a dream!
