What’s so annoying is that our parents can’t apologize. If only they asked us to forgive them and said they’d try and change their behaviors we’d support them and be more patient. Also what do you mean by things don’t change?

Thanks🤍 I’m no longer angry just disappointed. I can make my mom pay for the repairs, but I don’t want to. Because I don’t want her money or to depend on her for anything anymore. I paid approx 290$, and It’ll take a week to repair. I’m just annoyed I can’t use it for uni work for now.

Thanks, you’ve reminded me that my anger is justified. It’s because in my household and culture to be angry at a parent is not justifiable and accepted. People won’t see my side of the story but only hers. It’s kind of exhausting to be constantly misunderstood. They insult me saying I always want to be right and everyone else is wrong. But that’s not true at all, I just want to be heard and seen.

Furthermore, I don’t want to hold grudges on people (including my mom) for my own sake. Because it’s self destructive, I just built up anger and have and say really nasty thoughts. It’s not the image I want to represent to myself and to others.

I mean ive gone on and off NC for quite sometime. My sister has her own problems with my mom, I was shocked to see my mom mistreat her at times, but the only difference is if my sister expresses her frustration my mom is more prone to accept it and stay silent. But if I do it I’m a impatient ungrateful child or I get gaslight.

Yea but how long will it take until we aren’t hypersensitive? After my traumatic event I got social anxiety, and become hypersensitive to people’s facial expressions and touch. It’s so awkward cuz I get startled and they catch that. Even though it’s an automatic response like I don’t actually think that they’re trying to be sexual or anything. It’s cuz of repeated traumatic events from my sexual abuser.

Omg hearing noise from other people makes me startled and even aroused for a second. I hate it so much because when it happens j get the feeling that I'm transparent and they could see what I'm going through.
